Have you ever felt more anticipation for a game than you do

Post » Wed Oct 12, 2011 12:04 pm

I've never felt so much excitement and eagerness for a game that it's led me to search almost every detail about it and even join a forum about it. It's easily the most anticipated game of all time for me, even though I am not being unrealistic and aknowledge that the game is nowhere near going to be perfect, but I am confident it's going to be extremely entertaining for a very, very long time.

its normal to be excited about a game like this, but we can't all assume its going to be the greatest game ever. Am i expecting a complete masterpeice? Well, yes i am. its the elder scrolls and pretty much every one has delivered what the fans want which is an open ended, long term role playing game that offers something fresh with each installment.

I'm sure I speak for hundreds of thousands if not millions when I say that the first time I saw the trailer for this game I knew it was going to be something unrivaled in terms of anticipation.

Your options need to be tweaked. They answer the opposite of the question in the title.

I was actually more excited about Oblivion but that was before I had a job and worked 24/7. If I had more time to play I would probably be more excited. I still cant wait for it though.

I've never followed the pre-release build up for a game as closely as I have for Skyrim... but there are games i've been more excited about.

I've been more excited about: Oblivion, Final Fantasy VII, and Betrayal at Krondor (for you old folks).

I was REALLY excited about New Vegas and it turned out to be a huge let down to me.

So I haven't been able to get as excited about Skyrim, even though Morrowind is my favourite game of all time.

I have still gotten a little bit carried away with myself though.

I was more excited for Oblivion, the sequel to Morrowind was sure to be the best game ever, haha, but it was alright, here's hoping Skyrim brings back more of that epic feeling.

Ah Raymond E Feist's game. *nostalgic*

I hate to admit it, but I used to play WoW. I waited 2 years for an expansion pack so I'd have to say I was more excited about that.

But I think this game will be much more rewarding to wait for :)

Extremely excited for it, but I looked forward to the release of Thief 3 a lot more back when it came out... Man was I disappointed.

I played that when i was really young probably had no idea what i was doing, my dad used to play it alot and i would watch him and be amazed by the spoiled food, that game probably taught me the word spoilt.

Nostalgia overload.

No they don't they are just slightly different in wording, with excitement replacing anticipation, I thought it was essentially the same.

Last time I felt like this with a game was with Hellgate: London, which ended up disappointing me terribly, although I became an alpha tester...

No, this wasn't the first video game I was very excited for, which was Twilight Princess if I remember correctly, but this is the first year I'm excited for more than one games in one year.^_^

I'm excited for every game I buy. I feel the anxiousness while waiting and getting hyper one week before it arrives.

There are lots of good games coming out this year. I've been waiting for Skyrim for 4 years (lol) and it's kinda sad to see the anticipation and everything coming to an end  I rarely follow games this much before release, and I'm really looking forward to it! It would however be a lie to say that the lack of videos haven't haven't made me lose my excitement. IMO I'm not happy with the amount of videos released like the lack of character creation etc (all we've got is shaky cam vids) and this made alot of the Skyrim excitement drown away by all the other great games coming out.

I still can't wait for Skyrim, but the hype has been somewhat reduced for me. :sadvaultboy: :foodndrink:
