Have you ever wanted a game as badly as TES V?

Fallout 3 came pretty close but I think I've never wanted a game as much as TES V. Bethesda, you're killing me. Please give us some bit of info!

I'm not that that badly in anticipation of TESV yet, maybe because I don't know anything about it (or if it's even the game they're working on). The one I remember waiting for the most was Daggerfall, even though that was actually the shortest time between two TES games.

This.

To answer the question, TES 4.

No, I don't think there's been a game I've looked forward to as much as TES V. FF XII and some HP-games comes close, but I still think this is my biggest game anticipation yet.

Of course. There are many, many games I've been more hyped for. What is it you're so excited about anyway? You have no information about the game whatsoever.

There have been games I really fevered for including Oblivion, but so far I'm more "starved" for a new game like this than really hyped.

Over time I learned NOT to be overly excited about games anymore, there have been too many disappointments due to that.

No because I have no ideal when TESV will be out. It hasn't even been announced yet.

SC2 is the game I'm most hyped for right now. Everything I've heard and seen from it only looks and sounds better than the 1st(and the 1st one was good).

Over the past 20 years, I've wanted a number of games "badly", and that's how most of them turned out.....badly. I can wait a bit, and just maybe, this time it'll be allright.

I wanted TES IV more, because I thought it would be another Morrowind.
Now I just wait for another Oblivion.

I've never wanted a game so much as the upcoming God of War III. I'm so tempted to buy the Ultimate Edition, even though I don't own a PS3 (yet).

TESV - bah, Bethesda hasn't even announced they are making it. How can I anticipate something that might not even exist?

Sequel to Ocarina of Time. Thief 4. Redguard (for the pocket guide). Alpha Protocol. There've been others, I'm sure, but those come to mind. Oh, now that I have a 360, I want Banjo Tooie, or which ever they have on the market. I've wanted to play the sequel to Banjo Kazooie for over ten years.

How could I forget Pokemon Heart Gold?

I think I want/have wanted these games more than TESV. For now...

Thief 4.

I'm quite surprised someone said this so early in the thread. I haven't seen many people either aware or hyped for Thief IV.

Thief IV :D

.... Can't wait...

Except for TES:4 and TES:5 thers no other game that keep or kept me waiting for so long. Next to TES:V, there's this new "Project Offset" and "Divinity 2: Ego Dragonis".

But TES will always be first on the waiting list.

Ha, I was just thinking of Project Offset. Yes, ever since seeing the videos last year, I've been anticipating what sort of impact a high fantasy shooter, of that quality, might have on TESV's development. Not much, if it never comes out.

This
If anything I have to be even more careful with later games in a series I like because the bar is set high so a game that is merely ok will be a letdown

I'm not really excited about it, as I don't even know if it's being made. I just want at least a "TES V is in progress." Even if that was all we got for the rest of 2010, I'd be happy.

This, I failed at not being excited for ME 2 though, regretted it badly.

The game I ever looked forward to the most is TES3, because I played TES2 so very much back in the 90s. TES5 doesn't really come close to that, especially not now when there's no information available about it.

The game I look forward to play the most right now is Alpha Protocol.

Over time I learned NOT to be overly excited about games anymore, there have been too many disappointments due to that.

Yep, after being severely disappointed with Hitman 2 and Deus Ex 2, it takes something extra for me to get excited now. But those disappointments weren't all bad, I'm got noticeably better at looking thru the marketing talk and build a proper expectation on a game without playing them :P

After Oblivion and the book I maintain about as much enthusiasm for TESV as I do for a sequel to Barbie Horse Adventure.

I never wanted a game sooooo bad more than Oblivion. I just can't express it enough. Whenever a new piece of info was released about it I spent hours reading it over and over and discussing it here on the forums.

Anyone remember the outrage when Todd Howard announced that crossbows and throwing weapons won't make it in OB? Man, I still wonder why I was so angry about it. <_<

Meanwhile I am waiting - arms crossed, foot tapping - for The Infernal City novel I just ordered. :(

I'm not excited about TES V at all. The only game I really want to see these days is Thief.

As much heresy as it might be, I want Earthworm Jim 4 more. Less heretical answer: StarCraft II.

But dammit I do want a new TES game.

Well, after finding out what Daggerfall was, I wanted Morrowind more than anything, and eagerly lapped up any and all information I could get on it. Of course, my access to the Internet was very limited at this time.

After I got Morrowind, and LOVED it, I wanted Oblivion more than anything. I had more access to the Internet, and I squatted on these forums for days. When a magazine featured Oblivion, I was sure to purchase that copy. Anything anyone remotely said about the game that was new information I absorbed like a sponge. I wasn't disappointed when the game finally came out.

For some reason, despite my rabid love for TES, I wasn't as eager to get my hands on Fallout 3. I bought it day one still, and I love the game, but it just doesn't resound with me as much as the Elder Scrolls does.

I still look forward to other games, but the only things that come close to the Elder Scrolls in terms of me wanting it before it comes out aren't games at all, but pieces of hardware. I love researching and speculating about upcoming game hardware, both PC and console.
