Not yet preordered, maybe I will if the collector's edition is epic (by epic I mean equal or better than Witcher's)

I don't pre-order any games anymore, my reasons are Total War Empire and Civilization 5, as a customer i have further cause for concern if i hear the terms "streamlining" or "enhanced accessability" at any point in the run-up to release day, and with Skyrim i have seen those terms or at least those sentiments expressed by Mr Howard in at least one interview, not saying those choices are a bad thing necessarily with regard to Skyrim, heck they may be an improvement, but i am saying that their implementation and effect were not to my liking in the above two games i have mentioned and am wary as a result, i will be very eager to see how taking away or merging features will affect the game, but i won't be paying to find out as i have done in the past.

Instead i'l be watching the user score on metacritic for a few weeks after release, i trust gamers opinions far more than any of the big reviewers these days, then if all is fine and dandy fraggle will let loose the purse strings, while i am confident that Skyrim will be a great game and most probably the finest gaming experience available anywhere, i see little point in betting on that being the case needlessly with the little money i have set aside for gaming, as it's a digital, Steam-only game it's not as if they are going to run out of copies anyway, also, there's a recession going on don't you know :hehe:

Haven't pre-ordered it.
With games I'm excited about like Skyrim I'll still wait until they've been out a couple of months, the price has dropped, and the first patch is out.
With games I'm somewhat less than excited about like Dragon Age 2 if I decide to buy them it'll be when they're in the bargain bin for a fiver.

I'm going to pre-order it when a certain local store has it available for pre-ordering.

About Collectors Edition, I have to see what's in it and what it costs before I choose whether to pick that or the normal version of the game.

Oh, and Dark Brotherhood.

Hmmm... I don't have permission to vote on the poll...

Oh well, I haven't but I will closer to release.

Also that guild option seems out of place.

Not pre-ordered, not because I'm not excited about the game, I just don't use to pre-order.

Really holding out to see who will be selling it the cheapest. Bethesda would have to throw in some incredibly impressive pre-order bonus to get me pre-ordering it at one of the more expensive stores.

I plan on buying the GOTY retail edition, for PC.Or I might just order it off the internet soon after it's been released,I won't get the Steam edition because it will probably lack the modding tools. As for the guilds,I chose DB even though my favorite character is a neutral or chaotic good fighter, speaking in D&D terms.

Not yet. This time I'd like to have a collector's edition, I think. Also, for FNV, there were different things offered depending on where you bought it. I liked the Classic Package and got that from Gamestop. Amazon had something different and so did Best Buy and I think one other place, Walmart maybe? So I'll wait until I see what they are offering. :)

Why would anyone preorder a game? Giving one store a guaranteed sale of something that will be available everywhere? Unless it was through steam, in which case the game would be preloaded so you could play exactly at midnight.

My enthusiasm for the game has gone down quite a bit over the past couple months. If the info continues to be as bad as we have seen so far.... I don't know....

A lot of what I loved about tes is being cut out or "streamlined" beyond recognition. Waiting for more info to come out before I decide on whether or not the game is even worth purchasing.

I'll wait until a bit closer to the time and see which shop has the best deal. There's loads of different stores near me and they're bound to be offering different things, and I also want to see what will be in a collectors edition. I might pre-order a few weeks before, but it would be no problem for me just to go to the store on the day and buy it, it would take longer in the mail anyway.

No, but i will. Why pre-order something so early, unless you're worried about your money in the future.

I preordered several months ago along with RAGE, I can't wait to play both games. Skyrim just looks amazing from what I have seen, and Rage has that BEAUTIFUL post apocalyptic world to it.

I'll wait for word on bugs and/or patch - I will NEVER again pay extra to be a "Beta tester" for quality control

@ OP you could have made the platform question multichoice - I would like a 360 version and a PC version

Am not pre-ordering - while I'm concerned about bugs being problems due to the rush to meet the 11.11.11 deadline - I'm more concerned what draconian DRM might be used - if Skyrim needs steam activation I'll give the PC copy a miss and follow the 360 Bug fix forum for a while to see how stable it is.
