Have you pre-ordered the game? If not, why not?

I never pre-order games this early... not even ones i'm 100% certain i'll want on release day.

I'll probably pre-order some time in August.

I'll be sitting outside the local gamestop at 11:59 PM on 11/10/11. You won't?

No. I will try to get to a store on 11/11/11, when free time appears. It's Just A Game?. :D

--------

I don't tend to pre-order, unless there's a really cool pre-order bonus (I was disappointed in the ME2 & Dragon Age 1 bonuses. Didn't bother pre-ordering FO:NV.... I miss the days of poster maps, soundtrack CDs, and keychains. :)), or unless it's a small title game that may not have a high level of stock.

So I won't be bothering with pre-ordering Skyrim, most likely. In any case, I wouldn't pre-order before finding out the system requirements, so I'll know if I can run it.

No, I haven't. There are several fatal flaws with preordering Skyrim:

1. There is no way available for me to make a payment.
2. The price for a DVD box from, say, amazon is at least twice as high as the price for a DVD box from a local shop.

Several reasons...
1: i don't have a visa (but that can be arranged easily i'm just too lazy to)
2: i live in iceland (its a pain to get things shipped here)
3: i want the collectors edition
4: I can't afford it right now (this can also be arranged but 2 and 3 say no no no)

Several Reasons why it could be smart for me to preorder it.
1: Most likely it'll be cheaper than buying it at a store here (but i could just wait till its out and buy it then.)
2: Most of the stores here are trying to reduce the amount of PC games they're selling, due to piracy i think, piracy is done too much here, thats bad.
3: Its the cool thing to do!

No.

First I will try the game.

I will buy it if and only if it's not Oblivion 2.

Digital download.

Already preordered for xbox 360 and I can always cancel my preorder to upgrade to CE when it's announced. To only reason I preordered to game so early is that I can cancel my preorder if I change my mind (but why would I do that really? its TES!)

Nope, haven't gotten around to it. I still have 5 months though. I'm waiting for pre-order bonus announcements (if there are any) and Collector's Edition (if there is one.)

I will pre-order it at some point, I'm just waiting till we get a little closer to release, and I'm still deciding if I'm going to get it for PC or Xbox. If I get it for PC, I'll get better graphics and mods, but less play time, but if I get it for Xbox, I'll have more play time but no other benefits. I'm leaning towards Xbox right now, because I never really wanted any mods for either Oblivion or Morrowind until I had played them for a while, and I can always get it for the PC too later on if I really want to.

No I haven't pre-ordered Skyrim yet. Why should I? I will be getting the game on Day One release so Bethesda is getting my money no matter what.

I guess what I will do, is like what happened for New Vegas. See if there is any free bonus contact for pre-ordering and from where. Since I will be getting in on Day One, having more things for free is great, that is the only reason why I pre-ordered New Vegas.

So hopefully we will get some free stuff and to see if there will be a collectors edtion and what it entails. I just hope it's not some stupid behind the sceans making of. Seems that is all what collectors edtion is now. A bit boring now so I am hoping for something different.

A year or so ago, when I used to pre-order stuff for my Xbox 360 in the UK, it would usually arrive the day before release. But not anymore, as our postal service has gone way downhill.

I'll be booking the 11/11/11 off work, and I don't want to risk it not arriving in the post for then, so I will not be pre-ordering it.

I'll walk into town on the morning of 11/11/11 to be guaranteed of getting it on the day.

Waiting on CE as well. If they announce something I don't like, like taking out hand to hand combat, I might downgrade to the normal version though.

No need to pre-order, I'm just buying the physical box at the store as soon as it is available (games distribution kinda svcks where I live, so I'm not sure it's going to be day one).
