Have you tried shrinking yourself?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 7:59 pm

I shrunk myself to 1/5th of my normal size and fought a dragon using player.setscale 0.2

My running speed and jump height was reduced but wasn't sure about the damage. Can anyone confirm if there is a change or not?

I made a video of the dragon fight here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlVE9klFt30

Your damage wouldn't be effected by you shrinking yourself.

no but i did make a giant Dibella Statue using the same command and stuck it in the upstairs landing in my whiterun house....because nothing says "class" like a giant gold naked chick statue outside your bedroom door :P

but then it fell on me when i bumped into it running past one time and REALLY hurt so i deleted it in case it killed the dog or something.

If you make yourself really big, you can step over mountains like they are just pebbles; however, you will still take fall damage as if you were normal size and jumped off the top of the mountain. XD

Yeah I made myself 20 times larger which was awesome, until I ran off a cliff...

A perfectly logical answer. Also, weirdly, a wrong answer...

It certainly affects NPCs, but from my experiences in both Skyrim and Oblivion, it does not affect the player character.

You can try it with NPCs yourself. Spawn a skeever or a mudcrab in town and then set it's scale to triple normal (3.0). While the normal sized creature will die in a hit or 2, the large ones will be able to kill everything in town.
