I'm having a freeze problem...

Post » Sun Jun 16, 2013 8:09 pm

So I've been playing Skyrim for a very long time, I have the new Star Wars Edition of the Xbox 360, and my Skyrim will not stop freezing. I've deleted the patch, re-installed my game, deleted the museum keys, and cleared my cache I don't know how many times. I'm very frustrated with this issue, as I'm not allowed to play Skyrim it seems. If anyone could help on this issue, or have any advice, I'd love to hear it. Because I'm about fed up with this issue, as I am sick and tired of my Xbox freezing on JUST Skyrim, a game that I love.

I'm having the same problem. The developers really messed something up with the game performance with the last patch. None of my other games freeze either, only Skyrim. I've contacted them several times and one tech told me to clear my cache and re-install, which I've done countless times as well, and the problem doesn't go away. Another tech told me that they are working on another game update that may fix this issue, but I get a bad feeling that he's lying and just telling me what I want to hear.

No, it's not game save bloating. Save size is 10 MB. I had a different 22 MB save that worked just fine with few or no freezes under the 1.8 patch. Once the 1.9 patch came out, it hasn't been the same since (on old or new game saves). I clean up dropped weapons and shields from enemies too, so it has to be something the patch did.
