Im Having Fun With Deus Ex HR..............

Post » Tue Aug 23, 2011 9:45 pm

shocking isnt it. im having a blast playing deus ex now and i turned off the quest markers, they have an option for that *hint hint* and im finding where i have to go just fine thank you.

i hope the fine people at bethesda take note of Deus Ex HR and how it does NOT hold your hand and has tons of hidden stuff all over that it doesnt tell you about. you actually have to find it.........with no quest arrows. and being a deus ex game its level design is just as convoluted and complex as anything you will see in skyrim if not more so so you cant say that its only because its a linear shooter.............its not. but i can still find stuff.........with no quest arrows.

as soon as i finish my breakfast its back to playing a game that forces me to specialize, makes me die after only a couple of hits from an enemy and ..............no quest arrows. :twirl:

edit: the clairavoyance spell supposedly replaces quest arrows but i just wanted to point this out to make sure they dont change their mind at the last minute.

Yeah man, quest arrows are such a huge part of the game that they need a thread.

It's happened before.

This one is just designed to rile people up.

Just go play any of the other 4 CoD games that have come out in this generation - why spend $60 on another gun/map update?

Yes let's hope they already took care because now it's too late for Skyrim to suffer big changes.

i think i heard 40+ hours but ive heard so many hours thrown around for video games that i might be wrong. it takes awhile to clear out areas though so i could easily see it taking ever more time as im still in the very first part of the game. and i started over 6 hours ago. im also playing in "give me deus ex" mod so im dying a bit too. they really made the AI smart in this game. the "demo" i played you could shoot them when they came around corners but they really ramped up the AI so that they duck and cover and it makes it harder. ive never had so much fun dying since demon souls.

Deus Ex is designed to be as open as possible but still its maps pale in comparison. Yes, maps instead of a whole huge world in the case of Oblivion/Skyrim. You might well find your way around a city block but when its the whole city that gps-navigator starts to sound more appealing.

Your having such fun, that you had to log on here and make a snarky sad comment over a tiny arrow in a game.
Must be truely rivetting stuff.

It is a bit snarky but nonetheless. Options to turn off the HUD would be welcome by me. I'll take it out once I get Skyrim anyways but built in would be nice. Deus Ex: HR has highlighting and etc. but they put in options.

On the topic of the new Deus Ex. Brilliantly fun it is. Brilliantly fun. Jensen's voice isn't irking me as I'd thought. And we finally have what Deus Ex is known for: Experimenting however you want with whatever's available. Assuredly my creativity is being put to the test.

Also, Jensen has to run out of hair gel at some point. Must be tough to keep it perfect like that.

congratulations? I don't know, I'm sure someone somewhere is proud of you.

Tons of hidden stuff that it doesn't tell you about, I don't see how having a quest arrow would show you that. I've found tons of hidden stuff in Oblivion as well, without the quest arrow, because it was really only for quests, Le Gasp! yeah I know.

and being a deus ex game its level design is just as convoluted and complex as anything you will see in skyrim if not more so so you cant say that its only because its a linear shooter.............its not. but i can still find stuff.........with no quest arrows.

Seriously! You should put that on your resumé!

as soon as i finish my breakfast its back to playing a game that forces me to specialize, makes me die after only a couple of hits from an enemy and ..............no quest arrows. :twirl:

You should probably move to the DE:HR forums, yeah I know you stay for our sake, but seriously, maybe it's time to move on, send a post card when you can!

Buy Deus Ex instead of MW3.

A new game with stunning graphics, and a fairly interesting story..... or the same game that's been done 17 times already, by the SAME PEOPLE.

Just quickly off subject: whats Deus Ex HR like, is it worth getting (from one forum member to another)?

back on subject: I can't see why Beth can't turn off the quest arrow, it made Oblivion wayyyyy toooooo easy *sigh*
