Build is stealth mage, currently lvl 29. Illusion is 44, conjuration is 63. I use bound weapons for combat. Problem is if I get in close combat, then I use illusion spells like calm, but my magicka drains quickly. Im going to use shrouded armor eventually and enchant a necklace and ring for damage....is this magicka issue going to be an issue later? Ive taken the appropriate perks for spell reduction. I dont want to rely on potions.

The higher your skill in a magic school the less it costs as well, so it should gradually cost less to cast on it's own as the skill level increases. But new, more powerful spells will be more expensive initially to cast.

What ratio did you level mana/health/stamina & current level of each ?

I'm at level 11 and my magicka is at 200 already. One of the very useful items for this is an amulet. it increases your magicka by 30 and you get it by doing one of the College Of Winterhold quests. the first actually.

I cant remember the Ratio and im not at home to check. But I think I have around 200 Health and stamiba, and 180 magicka. Im avoiding the college on this playthrough. I realize the cost will reduce as the skill increases, ill try to Limit it at the moment.

That's probably why your struggling with mana then, if your health & stamina are near 200 as well. Stealth mage to me, means that you would have more mana than both health & stamina, as avoiding direct combat is important. But you could be playing it differently than the name suggests.

Last I heard he was rebuilding his stealth assassin. If not use reduce magic costs for the relevant school.
