Having problems with Cowboy Perk

Post » Thu Jan 15, 2015 8:53 am

So first i got the couch glitch in doc's house.
Unable to run or sit on the couch so I in installed and reinstalled the game and was still deferment to make my Lever action shotgun character build.

So I get eventually past the glitch and start playing the game, when I reach lv 6 I look through the perk list and can't see the "cowboy perk" anywhere in the list. IT'S JUST GONE...?
I carry on to lv 8
(According to some shady looking wiki the requirements for the COWBOY PERK is: LEVEL 8 GUNS 45 MELEE 45. Please let me know if this is incorrect..

No matter what the requirements are I should be able to actually SEE the perk (all perks) as soon as I hit lv 2 even if I can't select it at that time right? No? Wtf...
Pls some1 explain dis..?
l'm kinda stuck here, the game froze on me a while ago so I'm taking a break thought I'd come here looking for answers meanwhile..

I'm playing FO:NV on PS3 btw.

yes, the requirement IS level 8 with 45 guns and melee, although i have no idea why the perk wouldnt be on there, it should still show up unhighlighted even if you dont meet the requirement.

Yeah its really weird for it to dissapear completely. Usually things don't work that way, If you were on PC it could be the result of some weird mod, but its PS3 so eh...

The only things I can think of is that you've lost track of it in the perk list, so try checking again, that list is long and I often lose track of it, but it could also be that your install is somehow corrupted. Are you installing off of disk? Ive Steamed for many years so I dont know if this happens anymore, but it could be that the disk is so scratched up that it had trouble reading all the data.

...That might actually be the cause, there. If you're having all sorts of glitches with the couch then its possible the entire game is busted because of disk damage. I have no idea if its actually possible to clean those things, but try getting another disk off a friend and see if installing from that works better.

Huh.. I swear I checked the list so many times....
Anyways very well then I shall
Check the perk list, again.
Clean off the disk and try reinstalling again, then.

I don't have any friends who play Fallout so I guess I'm gonna have to buy a new copy if my disk looks damaged lol.

I'll be back on here tomorrow about the results..

The longest a PS3 lasted for me was about a year and a half.

You can mod FNV on a pc plus 360 controller support. Just saying.
