Having problems with an unstable modded game

Post » Sun Sep 13, 2015 6:59 pm

So basically this is a hit and miss situation. The game will run fine one moment and it will CTD almost everytime the next. I use mod organizer and use the build in sort option to sort out my load order. I think it is a case of conflicting mods as I use script heavy mods.

If someone could look at my load order and give me some advice on what to do then that would be of great help to me.

Thank you in advance.

1) Did you clean the master files ? http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4110-manual-cleaning-skyrim-master-files/

Very, very important step when you have such a long list of mods.

2) Did you enable the memory patch with a skse.ini file ? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51038/

3) Did you modify the skyrim ini files ? If yes, revert to the vanilla ini files (delete them in Documents\My Games\Skyrim, in order to have the game recreate them).

4) Follow the other advice given here : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/

Thank you for your reply.

I will clean the master file to see if that clears things up.

I have the sheson memory patch but I am not certain if it is enabled or not. I downloaded both the memory patch and memory blocks log and installed them. It has not been installed through SKSE.

I have also been tweaking around the load order, trying to sort things out by what kind of mod etc. I read a list on a forum depicting the favourable order of the mods from master & update plugins down to script heavy mods.

Did you try the load order given by LOOT ? It's very efficient. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1531778-rel-loot-thread-20/
