Having some trouble getting mods to install and work... : III - Morrowind

Does the head show up properly? Meaning, the head is actually there, and you can see all the features and everything?

As for the message, you can check your error log to see the entire thing out of game. In your Morrowind folder (NOT your Data Files folder) you should see the file Warnings.txt. It's just an ordniary text document; if you open it up, it should have all the errors from your last play session. You should be able to find the one that crashed your game there.

No I don't see any of the faces, it just switches to the face that would be next in vanilla Morrowind, then the warning comes up. I'm pretty sure I unpacked everything right, I did it the same way I would with any other mod, and there was nothing in the read me about installation. The warning text is:

Those texture files should be in such a folder.

EDIT: Nevermind. Unless that mod has been repackaged, the textures should be in the main Textures folder. Please look to see if you have a textures folder inside your textures folder.

If it looks like this:

Data Files\Textures\Textures\

Cut everything in the \Textures\Textures\ folder and paste it into the \Data Files\Textures\ folder.

No, don't have that. Everything is neat and clean (I've made a note of doing that this time). However, to get to the actual Meshes I have to go through C:\Users\Jack\Desktop\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\morrowind\Data Files\Meshes\Meshes (Emma's Heads)\Emma, and the meshes are in there. The directory would have been ...Data Files\Meshes\Meshes\Emma, but I've renamed the folders so I know what mod they belong to. I tried removing the extra meshes folder but that didn't help at all. Same problem.

There should not be any doubled directories in the paths. If there is a \Meshes\Meshes\ then the same theory applies. Everything in the \Meshes\Meshes\ folder should be in the \Data Files\Meshes\ folder. You cannot rename the file paths when using mods. The mod .esp expects files to be in certain paths and that is the path structure in which the mod is packaged. Unless you change the mod itself, you cannot change the Mesh paths. Unless you change the mesh files themselves, you cannot change the texture paths.

When using a pluginless replacer, it is the game engine itself which is looking for the files and they *must* be in the folders it expects.

Please reinstall the mod without altering any directories.
