Having my ... toosh... kicked by dragons

Post » Wed Nov 30, 2011 5:39 am

So my hearty Nordic dragonslayer is out on his quest to hunt down mighty dragons with his infamous daedric great sword and he has stumbled into quite a mess. Being level 29, full 2h build and sporting full dragonbone armour along with the greatsword everything just seemed to melt away at his prowess... Until the morning he met two frost dragons circling over head this poor defenceless woman (no joke her name is "Fearful Woman") This Nordic Dragonslayer of mine was reluctant to increase his skill in restoration (or perhaps he was just too cocky since the world practically bowed before him) and now he has gotten himself stuck in this dilemma. Low on health potions and over stocked on ego he just simply won't quit!

Okay okay Ill stop with that. Can't back track to avoid the encounter since it auto saved during the encounter, and my other saves are quite far behind. Also Ive accomplished quite a bit. Even more so my enormous ego simply won't let me ignore this fight or lower the diffculty (I tried raising it actually and I somehow did better... Go figure)

I guess to recap it would be:

-Helpless damsel in distress needs my help
-I go all CHALLENGE ACCEPTED
-Another dragon appears
-High on many potions accept healing
-Low resto skill
-Full dragonbone armour/daedric greatsword
-No cover
-No escape
-Autosave is too far back
-Helpless dragonslayer in distress needs your help.

Edit: I do my best to avoid the breathes as much as I can, I use frost potions, along with stam/health pots (and regens as well) when they finally land, i go ape [censored] on em and get as much power attacks as i possibly can on em. Every result ended up with me being eaten alive, picked up into the air and dropped, or tossed around like a rag doll and then being thrown into the air.

Edit #2: One dragons breathe is easy enough, but I have both of them attacking me at once. I don't mean one flies around and waits for the other to finish. I've had em both land at once, target me and blast away. Not a moment over the course of a fight where my health doesn't decrease. Also the other dragon doesn't have proper graphics so when he landed I nearly sh... soiled myself laughing.

Edit #3: I guess I can't complain, it went from easy to kill dragons to something challenging. And from what I seen from my buddy those fights only get harder... Time to invest in resto. Well that is if I ever kill these two.

Berserker potions + nothing but power attack + stamina potions. Being a nord their breath should be pretty manageable. Even with low resto skill using even the first one you get should trade your whole blue bar for half your red bar.

You got yourself in quite a situation, all I can really recommend is that you come a bit more prepared. I know its a pain to go back to a far away autosave, but sometimes it has to be done. Good luck.
