I tried installing Dos32a to try and work around the problem, but I don't really understand the instructions that the uesp gives.
First, it asks me to:
-Download Dos32a, you should have SB.EXE and DOS32A.EXE (and other files)
-Copy the SB.EXE and DOS32A.EXE into your \DAGGER directory (where DAGGER.EXE and FALL.EXE are)
-IMPORTANT Make a backup of FALL.EXE, in case this messes it up!
I did all three of those things, no problem.
THEN, it asks me to:
-COPY FALL.EXE FALLBAK.BAK
-sb /R fall.exe
WTF? It doesn't tell me where to copy fall.exe and fallbak.bak to. I can't even find where fallbak.bak is located.
And what the hell does "sb /R fall.exe" mean?
Help would be greatly appreciated. I understand the principle, that I replacing the original memory extender with this new one. So, if I could just understand how to find the original memory extender (which I'm afraid is embedded in fall.exe) and how to properly replace it, then I won't need to figure out these silly instructions to begin with.
P.S. I'm running Dosbox on Mac OSX 10.5.8, in case that's relevant.
