I quite like the idea, could work well with roleplayers in many cases.

YES I like the idea! :)
A good and improved companion mode where you and "your other side" can have some mature content and in other hand fight side by side! :D

Actually as I and my fiance are playing OBL quite often we talked how it would be great to have possibility, not to play MMO, but to play it together with two characters in the same world on two computers in LAN or net mode (we can be on the two different places in the same time but the main point is to play it together in the same world)!!! :D

I like the idea of having a young lovely Dunmer maiden for a wife. She could cook and maintain the household or we can work on Fighters Guild contracts together.

Hm, I'd very much like to have a marriage system. I'd have one family in every house in every village in every province. No, but, seriously, I'd love to be able to marry. And, quite possibly, they'll be involved in quests, too, or open new ones.

ditto
I can't see my characters taking a wife (unless Tamriel is way more PC and progressive than our world) but a husband to practice my nagging on would be handy

A spouse would introduce some interesting ieeas, story developments, and gameplay mechanics. I'd love to be able to have a child too, watch them grow, train them, even take them on quest when they're old enough (plus a baby Orc would look cool).

Baby Orc? Didn't we see those in Shrek 3?

Yes, this would be the only way I'd want a wife in game....

A fake wife in a ES game otherwise... no thanks, I got one and I have enough time with just the one. :o

In that case all NPCs should age as to not break immersion. That might introduce some troubles (like important NPC dies of age). Anyway, to see a child grow would take quite a lot of IG time :D

the Ahnassi mod for Oblivion was kind alike having a wife, since you had a story-quest with her and you shared a home, but it was kinda buggy and would hang my game a few times.

I vote all three because I am that awesome!

Love the mod myself! I have to alter her face a little but the result is great! ^_^

I don't think it's a feature I'd ever use, but if it were well done it wouldn't detract from anything. By "well done" I mean "WAY better than Fable did it." No aging, no children, no random strangers in the street flinging heart emotes at me.

I think a wife or perhaps a "damsel in distress" sort of scenario could really work well in TES. I didn't like Fable 2, but the idea of having something to care for or who cares about you is an interesting concept.

Exactly, what if you have a female character!

Perhaps she could catch her a very well-to-do mechant! :goodjob:

This. Don't add this feature by deleting something more important.

Yeah, it seems like it would be useless. And then people would demand to be able to perform sixual acts upon them.

I'd be fine with it. I liked Fable II (don't hurt me!) and the marriage thing was fun, except for your wife divorcing you five minutes in... Anyways I say it would be cool to get married and maybe a family, I think bethesda would handle six maturely, and it would probably be very clean.
