Well i was thinking about doing an RP on Hawaii but i found nothing on it. I need to know some facts about it (in the fallout universe) before i can make an RP about. I heard its put into the same commonwealth as california but nothing more than that.

*Was Hawaii even bombed for the most part?
*What is Hawaii's status on how well its doing?
*Does Hawaii have any vaults?
*Are any of the known factions in Hawaii? (Brotherhood of Steel, Enclave)

These are the main things i was wondering and if any link could be provided it would be most helpful. If none is found should i make up some stuff as best i can using common fallout knowledge?

It's probably best you make your own stuff up. I don't know anywhere on the Vault Wiki, or any place else that says anything about Hawaii. Mainly because wasn't Hawaii, the last place to be a state (which was 1959). So in retrospect, the possibility of Hawaii even becoming a state is a bit suspicious since the Fallout time line, breaks off around 1952 (something like that) before Hawaii was declared a state in our time.

Probably best you make your own stuff, like I said.

I do it all the time in my RPs. Usually I just give a brief yet descriptive outline, of what the place looks like. Then I let the players, use their own imaginations to fill in the blanks where they like. Maybe find some pictures of Hawaii, and put them as places your RP will center around? Of course, they'd be places you though could fit and what not. And maybe for factions (if you want factions) just base them off an already formed and known Fallout faction, like NCR Rangers for example, or something like that?

But I suggest, that since Hawaii is such an isolated and small place. (some areas that is) then I would probably keep the RP to a tribal or maybe rugged Merc or some kinda formed outfit type vibe. Do some research (not much, but enough to get by if you like) on Hawaii, and it's culture/habitants (creatures and people) and that should give you an idea of where you could take your RP.

Well i was thinking it would be kinda like... not necessarily a big city to start with but where everyone began to get together after the bombs hit. Since Hawaii was just starting to get big in the 50's, but was still pretty small on all the islands except for the Big Island, only a few nukes hit Hawaii, but they did some damage. Also, would it be o.k. to make a map off of Google Earth or something?

Well I'd make it a moderately sized city, since if Hawaii in your RP did actually get hit. There wouldn't be much human inhabitants, besides mostly ghouls anyway. Unless, Hawaii was never directly hit, and like PL just suffered from attention and up keep. Then you could maybe expand more on your whole Hawaii idea... which I think is a great idea for an RP, since it's never been done.

I thought so too, a good idea but it would be hard to pull off (for me anyway, i have only made 1 RP before and it was mediocre at best, it had a nice story to it but not much to continue on with.) but i was thinking it would be placed on one of the island of http://www.hawaii.maps-pacific.com/map/Hawaii-Islands.gif. Im trying to figure out how the people would have survived, i was thinking about a vault, but not a vault tec vault, more of a makeshift one.

You could make a Vault, but you don't have to if you don't want one. If you do have bombs that dropped on Hawaii, then Hawaii will probably be full of ghouls since it's so isolated, and no one would probably bother going out to the islands, if they are even remembered! But if you just have it so it deteriorated, then you could have a vault, (even if it was hit, you could still have a vault.)

Well i was thinking that since Hawaii is so close to China, the people basically went into lockdown and tourists were pretty much trapped there. But the bombs would have hit the island to the north-wet and south of Maui, leaving them with extreme radiation. Im not sure about the vault, might just have it broken down like most of them in Fallout 3, might include it in the story. But i think im going to start making a map of the area, it going to be devided between a downtown and an uptown, a few raider settlements, and possibly a Brotherhood of Steel like faction settlement somewhere about there.

Hawaii would've been incinerated to volcanic glass. Do you have any idea how many military bases are on the main islands? Not to mention all the seaports and logistics hubs the Chinese would want to vaporize.
