The models are now finished and just need textures and clothing meshes.

I adapted the better clothes male common shirt 01 to the new body today and loaded it into the CS. Though it works good in Blender & nifSkope, I still need to tweek the possition of the upper arm bones so that the arms & shoulders position correctly. Worse the new clothing clips badly on Argonians (and probably khajiits as well). I'll do a bit more tweeking in the morning but the preliminaries do not bode well.

I'm not sure I understand - the HD body is for the elven and human races and therefore the HD - clothes are surely only for those races - what does it matter if the clothes clip with the beast races?

What does the body look like when you use the MW animations like running and walking? If only the HD body could come with HD animations :)

There are only two models for any article of clothing - male and female. The same model is used for all male races and for all beast races. A bit of tweeking of the model around the shoulders may make it work with the beast races. As for animations I'm playing with the idea of including an AnimationKit package using some of the currently available animation replaces. But for making new animations... I could make one that made them look like their smuggling sticks and sufferring from some form of nueral dissorder. Might be interesting for a Japanese ghost creature.

hello, you made a splendid work!

Do you have to try to ask of the assistance to AlienSlof to help you to create textures for the male body? ;)

That is a bit of vanity, it's the view count for this thread when I post.

Since AlienSlof no longer mods for Morrowind I'd not considered asking. A couple of texture artist had offered to do textures but I've not heard from either of them since I put up the untextured models & UV maps. I've been distracted from this project for a bit but will return to it when time & motivation permit

I thought this too. I was happy to know this might potentially run on my PC :D

Still, lovin' the progress so far.

I downloaded your models from the links you posted at Fliggerty's forum and there is a problem. The textures don't show on the model whenever I try to apply them in Nifskope, I had to import the model into max to see the texture. :S I only did a very quick test to see how easy it would be to make the texture. However I can possibly give it a go but it might be a while. I was planning to use your male model for my squid face guy. :D

No offense to AoF (i mean that when I say it!), but I would probably go into shock at how great Slof's textures would be for your bodies. ^^" I think her work with male textures is amazing.

Oh, I also was pretty sure those numbers were polycounts.

The reason that the textures won't work is because they are multilayer textures and nifSkope & morrowind require a single layer. The reason I made them that way is for the process I am using to cobble together my attempt at texturing. The bottom background layer is for a flesh colored raw fill. On top of this I put in clipping of reference photos. The top layer is a transparent UV to aid in placing the clippings. After placing the pieces I merge the middle & lower layers then delete the UV map layer before exporting to .dds & testing in nifSkope and the game.

Sorry for any confussion the post counts may have caused.

Why are you concerned with it being compatible with people's clothing mods? We'll get over it. None of the vanilla clothes will fit. So what. We'll just make new ones. We can't keep clinging to the past. Were you trying to import one of the models from Oblivion? Because you might be able to import the clothing as well. Or do I not know what I'm talking about? I'm not much of a modder.

I'm not concerned abount compatability with other people's clothing mods so much as having some clothing mods for the model. The vanilla meshes work to some degree but BB female clothes are completely incompatable. This model is somewhere between a A & B cup whereas the BB model is somewhere between a DD & H cup. This model is build from the output of MakeHuman, a 3d model tool. The major hold up is texturing.

As I offered to make a texture for your models, I am one of the ones
holding the mod up. I will definitely get to this for you, but I am only
just now getting back into the swing of modding. I will do my best to
get these textures finished for you as soon as I am able. I am
currently in a transition period as far as my career goes in real life,
so my attention will seem sparse for a while (but do not let that
discourage you as this is never to far from my mind and planning :) ).

Take Care

Cool, can't wait to see a screenshot of a beta model. And on that, is there ever a charlie or delta or epsilon version or model? I mean, you always hear people saying alpha and beta testing, or versions, but never anything past that. Strange, huh?

Are you modelling some meshes for clothes? If Westly is happy to do the body texture I'd feel more than comfortable doing a set of male and female clothes for you

Do you have any screenshots of styles?

I understand how life throws those things at you. I had been wondering what was happening but didn't want to push.

In computer software development Alpha is a version that does not have all the features built in. Beta is a version that has all features but has not been tested. The next version is the first version released to the public, typically 1.0. You can see screen shots at www.fliggerty.com. The thread there is titled "Distractions" the models are untextured but I can not link to the photos here.

At present I've only converted the male com_shirt_01 model to the new body.

I've been greatly distracted from the project of late. I will retun to it an these posts have provided me with motivation.

As I have said earlier in this thread, I will offer to do at least a texture for the male body but not unlike Westly I am trying to get some real life things situated and have other projects I am working on as well. I will try to get some work on a texture done as often as I can fit it in.

There seem to be countless body mods for both Oblivion and Fallout 3 ..can these not be imported somehow into morrowind? I figured the hardest part would be creating the mesh in the first place.

edit: hhmm I didn't take into account clothing. but then again we need to clothing anyway. and new animations while we're at it :P

Custom models (not originals: legal issue) can be imported and used with MW skeletons/animations. I did that with Robert's female mesh but nobody (except myself) likes it.
