I use HDMI cables to connect both my Xbox and my PC to my TV. I originally used standard cables, but then when I wanted to run my PC using my TV as a monitor, I made the switch. Didn't notice all too much of a difference.

I'm not sure how a HDMI outperforms a VGA connection. I know my parent's HDTV has resolution limits for a VGA in connection, but that's how the TV is set up. I use a dual monitor setup at work with VGA on one and DVI on the other....quality difference is hardly noticeable.

I've had $5 on my amazon account from a gift card I got from swagbucks. It's been sitting in there forever so after seeing this thread, I remembered I need a new hdmi cord for my laptop. So to my surprise, 1, 6ft cable was only $2.20 with free shipping, so I ordered 2 and I'll sell one to my lazy ass friend who still hasn't got an hdmi cord for his ps3 after 2 years of owning it. Free money yay lol.

Quality cable here man.........cost me $50 but I'll let it go for 20 cause were bros. It's got a new type of metal that makes it look even better than normal :whistling:
