My Head Hurts...

Why are PS3 users so entitled to get their own footage that won't really show ANYTHING about its capabilities. Honestly be happy that they even decided to bother making a PS3 version of the game. Why do they have to put up with the crappy Sony graphics language that no one else uses AND the fanbois who cry foul when they only show footage from the console they are developing the damn game on.

You even got a tweet from Pete Hines saying that he walked up to Todd playing the game and was incredibly surprised when Todd turned around and had a PS3 controller in his hand instead of an xbox 360 one... This alone tells you the differences between the 2 are minimal at most. Bugs will exist in both releases, probably a bit more in the PS3 version but to be honest who expected any different?

And in the end I will enjoy the game on the one platform which is clearly better than the others, the PC. And my friends who have the Xbox version will enjoy the game, and so will the ones who have the PS3 version. Sure bugs can be annoying but if you don't want to buy the game because you havent had screenshots or footage or previews from your console, then honestly you don't really want to play Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I will be ashamed of Bethesda if they don't release any PS3 and PC shots or footage before release... It's like buying a car but you can't see it until you buy it..

I feel exactly the same way.

Its aggravating that Bethesda would do this.

As a PS3 owner, thank you. I'm kind of embarrassed by this entire thread... As I said previously though, there better not be something like the vampire glitch that never gets fixed. I imagine, like most games, there will be no great difference between the two consoles.

The exact same could be said about Xbox. So this is negligible.

Hardly.

Skyrim = $60 - 120 USD

Car = $600 - 500,000 USD

We're approximately at one month before Skyrim's release. We still haven't seen any confirmed PS3 or PC screenshots or footage, still only 360 footage, we already know they're going for timed DLC exclusivity deals with Microsoft, they haven't demod the PS3 or supposedly the PC version even once at any of these conventions (including the ones where fans got to try the game out for 15-20 minutes), we have no reviews of the PS3 version and possibly not even the PC version and no reference for how they technically look and run, we already know the 360 is the lead platform and the other versions practically ports, nothing Skyrim-related is coming onto the PSN, any given Bethesda staff member won't even acknowledge the lack of PS3/PC footage and/or the possibility of seeing either before release... or from them, at all. Just today, I found out that the speedruns were exclusively held on the 360 and Bethesda released the list of 360 achievements... but didn't even so much as mention the PS3's trophies and I'm not sure of anything pertaining to Steam achievements.

Arguably, some of these things are minor and even unimportant, depending on the specific subjective view, but my point is more about what, together, they represent and more about the principle of much of it. This game isn't coming across as multiplatform, it's coming across as a 360-exclusive. I... my head's throbbing, but I've reached an all-time peak of frustration when I should be celebrating the game's upcoming release... but I can't because I don't even feel like Bethesda considers anyone playing on my platform or the PC in any of their marketing decisions and few of their technical decisions. They won't show anything pertaining to the other versions and it's really upsetting me. What is this? How much longer do we need to wait? Why is everything relayed the public about the 360 version? This is simply an inexcusable failure on the part of Bethesda's marketing team. They aren't addressing their fans on 2/3 of their supposedly supported platforms. Following what they dared to do with Fallout 3's PS3 DLC (delay, release as technical mess, never acknowledge or patch it) and I just have very little faith in their technical motivation to actually give a crap about something other than the 360 version nor am I getting the message from the marketing that this is a multiplatform game... just a 360 game quickly and haphazardly ported over to the other platforms in an attempt to grab money. What gives?

Protip take a chill pill don't post on the forums until release, and be presently surprised by the quality of the skyrim product.

The thing that bothers me the most, is the fact that they just evade any question regarding the PS3, its not fanboyism, I just want to know how will the item that I am buying be like is someone actually going to buy a product that they have no idea how it is? And by your logic, why is anyone PS3/360/PC entitled for their own footage?

If there is nothing wrong with the version that I'm going to buy why has every question pertaining to the PS3 version been ignored? Why has no Dev come to thread like these to reassure us, why has there been no footage for the ps3? Why are we being left in the dark, when we are also customers? Why are the PS3 question still being ignored one month away from released? Heck why no footage one month away from release?

Again as I said before, how hard is it to take some snapshots and record some footage for the PS3 and PC versions?

Seti, I wonder the same thing, what will Todd say if we were face to face, being recorded, when we ask where is the PS3 footage, and why are we being kept in the dark, the worst he can do is walk away and ignore us just like everyone else has been doing, but if this footage is going to be viewed by gamers, what will that show of him?

I read the latest issue of game informer today and the Skyrim article doesn't even mention that it's ON the PC at ALL

"You're a slave to the money and then you die. You work your life for money, for something made of value by humans as yourself and then you die. Money is the Apocalypse of Earth and it happened a long time ago, this means that we're already in the afterlife and we're in hell." - Agrin FH.

[censored] money. At this point I'd wish we could still live in pre-historic ages, when there's no rich and poor, there's only skill and life.

i just hope skyrim comes out nice and stable on the ps3, because i got fallout 3 GotY edition, and i played it for a very short time before it started crashing and freezing... i only got a few side quests and operation anchorage done before i was forced to give the game up.

if skyrim gets treated like that on the ps3... i think i may actually lose all respect for, and interest in, bethesda.

...i really hope that doesnt happen. :nope:

Because all the PS3 owners seem to be overreacting for no reason. I agree it isn't a good marketing strategy, but I have no reason to believe the PS3 version will be much worse than the 360. Most games on both consoles are nearly identical in fram rate issues and graphics. Those with a PC that are complaining are worse though, since there will be members in their community who fix anything that is wrong with the game.

I simply think people are getting paranoid and angry for no reason here.
