Headshots and Armor Mode

I think that Armor Mode should protect a little more against headshots.

Is frustrating being in the shiny, slow and useless Armor Mode and see how a player kills you with a lucky Scar headshot.

It's not strange that the Crysis2's metagame consists on running invisible like a headless chicken. Nobody uses armor mode at all.

i always use armor mode and it helps.

but yes, spray and pray headshots are VERY annoying

Depends what game mode you're playing. I play Crash Site almost exclusively now, and when the enemies are grenade spamming the objective, armour mode becomes indispensable.

The issue isn't with armour not protecting against headshots, it's that the headshot damage multiplier is so high (2.2). Personally, I'd like to see the damage multiplier lowered to below 2, perhaps 1.5 - 1.8; as this would reward good aim, while giving less prominence to 'lucky' shots.

Armor enhance ii makes you move quicker than usual in armor mode, it is the best module for that slot. I use it all the time. I do agree that it won't do much for you against headshots though.

I got Armor ench 3, but lately been using Nano Recharge is good for holding points in Crash site cause u recharge ur life so fast :D, & on lvl 2 the energy on suit goes faster!

The point is that Armor Mode is fine, but the high number of "lucky" headshots produced by the spray of bullets made it useless.
In close combat I don't note difference to keep me alive between armor mode or power/invisible mode.

Yes, it is VERY effective against grenades or explosives, but against bullets it resolves useless because people spraying bullets towards a shiny armor nanosuit ALWAYS impact 1 or 2 at the head that made the armor mode useless.

I think the solution has been given by MMAMickey. Decrease the headshot damage multiplier would be very effective in that situations.
That multiplier should be higher in non-automatic weapons, like the Gauss or DG1 to compensate.

The point is it's not good aim, the headshot multiplier is way too high on ARs and Smgs. Needs a nerf :)

How is it effective ?? I die from granades when Im full health with armor/armor enhanced perk on if the grenade lands 4-5 meters away from me.

Damage really need to be tuned better.
Grenades and Rocketlaunchers are spammed on crashsite maps, reduce damage or blast radius or increase crashsite circle
Increase the gap between good and bad players tbh, attack button hold is rewarded to much.
Also tweak melee hits, dont know how often i and others kill with melee attacks without anyone being on their screen, i sometimes even hit people above me.

armor mode takes 1-2 seconds to activate, you probably activate it when there is a grenade at your feet. Which means the greade explodes before armor is fully activated . when you have armor + full life it needs to be 1 meter away to kill you.
