Healers - ReadMe
*************************************
This is version 1.00
*************************************

0. Requirments:
************************
This mod requires:
- Oblivion 1.2.0416

1. Description:
************************
With this mod, every healer in game will be able to heal you. You just have to speak with them about topic "Heal...".
Healers won't heal you for free, unless you're really badly hurt or unless they like you a lot. Chapel healers are cheaper than freelancers (those who are not members of Nine Divines faction).
If you are only slightly hurt (if you have more that 90% of health) they won't heal you, again unless they like you a lot.

Depending on their restoration skill, there are five ranks of healers, and according to their rank they will charge more for healing but they will cast more powerful spell on you.

Ranks:
0 - 24 -- Novice
25 - 49 -- Apprentice
50 - 74 -- Journeyman
75 - 89 -- Expert
90 - 100 -- Master

2. Instalation:
************************
Extract all files from Healers.7z to bethesda softworks\oblivions\data. When
you are asked to overwrite files under meshes and textures, select 'yes to all'.

Activate 'Healers.esp' and play.

3. Conflicts & issues:
************************
Since this mod only adds new content, it doesn't change anything there are no conflicts with other mods.

Issues:
When you first start the game with this mod activated, you'll get 'Damage Token'. This is unplayable token and it is used to calculate your level of damage. You won't see it in your inventory.
You may or may not experience some of these issues:
- issue #1: If you load previous save in the same cell but where I don't have token, you don't get it.
To solve, type "set wwHealersQuest.HasToken to 0" (without quotes) in your console and hit enter.
- issue #2: You have paid for the healing, healer said his/her line but the spell wasn't cast. Unfortunately, I don't have solution for this. It happens sometimes. Consider yourself cheated by corrupted or senile healer and pay for the service again.
- issue #3: You have paid for the healing but the healer casted the spell on another character. To prevent this, watch that there aren't NPC between you and the healer.

4. Permissions:

Everyone is free to edit, merge and reupload this mod, as long credit is given.

Hey Kuertee! How would I add support for your mod? (I can't find other one)

doh! not that simple for my mod, actually.
for ryujiin's Real Injury, you can remove the stat damages (injury) by casting the heal spell that is cast from the altar of the nine when requesting from blessings.

it'll be easier if i add support to your mod in my mod. ;)
will do this week.

Go ahead!
You can also edit Healers if you want and I can add it on Nexus and PES as optional files.

Mod Healers is quite simple actually. Simpler than I thought it will be. :)

Hehe nice. When not playing as a mage and you like to roleplay like I do this is quite usefull. The price is good, so even low level characters can buy their services. Overall it adds something new and good to the game.

I think it should be integreted in large overhauls like FCOM.

Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

Cheers!

Thanks! The price is between 0 and 50 gold, 0 if you have less than 10% of your health or if disposition is 90 or higher.

Thank you very much for this!

Healers are now actually useful. It always seemed silly that the Nine Divines healers would gladly sell you Restore Health spells, but would be too snobbish to actually cast it on you if you were half-dead.

And goody Kuertee already saw it.

Thanks!
It would be cool if it was voice acted, there aren't many different dialogue lines...

The problem with voice acting this is that the dialogue applies to every single healer, whatever the race is. It would be a bit silly to hear the High Elf Voice Actor say " Hi!" and then change his voice when asked about "Healing". :P
But if you can somehow manage to find original voice files and tweak them so they can say your lines, all the better. :)

maybe using existing lines of dialogue and rework the conversation? so instead of the healer asking for 20 septims, you could have it like;

healer; 'can I help you?'

player; will you heal me?

healer; there is a price' or some such similar line

player; 'here, take 20 septims

healer 'many thanks'

I know that they are quality voice actors out there, they could imitate original voices I think...

This mod fits perfectly in the game. The Nine Divines Robes mod is a natural compliment to it as well.

About the voice acting...
Im a voice actor, could do that for you. Need stuff for my showreel anyway.
Just write a script (with the dialog lines of each healer) and i?ll record that for you, xcept the female ones of course^^

Cool!
I'm rather overwhelmed with work lately, but I'll try do do it asap. I think that there isn't much talking anyway, just bunch of different result scripts for same lines..

hey washington,
as promised :) i've made it so that
this mod (or any mod that uses the Restore Health magic effect)
now has an affect towards injuries in my Battle fatigue and injuries mod:
0.60, 25 September 2009:
...
New feature: Magical reliefs from injuries:
Magic (spells or potions) offer relief from injuries.
The magnitude of the spell or potion determines the magnitude of relief.
Set healingMagicReliefFactor (default = 1) to enable this feature.
The formula for reliefs is: injury point * magnitude / 100 * healingMagicReliefFactor.

The actor's Willpower determines the duration of the relief.
Set healingMagicReliefDuration (default = 12) in the INI file.
The formula for the duration is: willpower / 100 * healingMagicReliefDuration.
