Health Permanently Damaged

Hi everyone,

I want to say I've seen this problem around here before, but I'm not sure how to fix it. My current health value has been permanently lowered after unequipping some clothing enchanted with Fortify Health effects. I can't restore health beyond about 50% now. What is causing this? Is there a way to fix this? I deactivated all my mods and it still seems to be broken.

I haven't really removed or added anything lately, except Kragenir's Death Quest because it was causing some problems on fast travel. It does seem like I need to update some of my mods looking at some other people's LO's, so I will try that. Is this fixable?

Check your Effects tab for Drain Health effects.

Alas, no Drain Health effects (or any diseases or anything else out of the ordinary).

It may have been the result of a mod, in which case the Stat Restore mod will fix it up for you. If you are using the UOP, I think the final version also included the stat restore function.

Strange, I don't see why it would cause such problems. Do you have any more info about that?

This has happened to me before, and with my fatigue. No idea what causes it but Stat Restore fixes it fine. I don't have Kragenir's Death Quest and haven't disabled it at all so I doubt that's the cause. I get the feeling it's just a strange glitch that happens in highly modded Oblivion.

RE: Kragenir's Death Quest - I don't think it was causing the problem I was mentioning. But I was having problems related to fast travel to areas where KDQ added things, so I temporarily disabled it. For example, I use an alternative start mod, and when I traveled to the sewer exit for the first time Oblivion would always crash (I believe KDQ adds a piece of paper to the outside) and another area where KDQ added something (sorry, don't remember). The fast travel crashes stopped when I unloaded the mod. I've gotten it to work perfectly before with another set-up, so I think it's just a result of messing with my load order too much and not the mod itself. I really want to play through Kragenir's though, so I'm making sure all my other mods are up-to-date and ordered correctly and will be trying again :) I'll let you know if I still encounter problems (and thank you so much for making the mod!!)

I've seen this, I think it triggers when you have fortify enchantments on and you trigger a restore alter to restore damagemd attributes. Did you try unequipping everything and triggering an alter? If you have red damaged attributes that should resorte them.

V2.0 of Kragenir's Death Quest actually removes the paper outside the sewer exit and places them in a couple of other locations. The cell was cleaned afterwards so no changes should be left. Were you using Kragenir's Death Quest v2.0 or later?
