Potions aren't all the rage they are in MW/OB. You can buy them if you are in various temples or the bark brotherhood. Or you can find them as loot. But you're better off with a good spell or enchanted item.

Mages guild sells and makes spells. Temple of julianos also sells spells.

Making potions.

Heck yea. I'll admit it's a little risky to use in cramped dungeons, but outside it's wonderful.

MQ, yes. Guilds, no. Well, there may be one quest that sends you to another province (always to the isle of balfiera), but it's from one of the questpacks.

The Bark Brotherhood!

When attacked, they love to shout "Woof!Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!" at their enemies.

Get Guards attacking the Bark Brotherhood and you get an awesome mix of battle cries.

"Halt! Woof! Halt! Woof Woof! Halt! Hoof! Walt!" :D

Thanks for the laugh, Jormun. :)

Yes every province and most cities have guild halls. For instance, every walled city has the main guilds. While smaller cities have some of them, but not all.

Sometimes when in a dungeon, enemies will get hung up on a corner, or a flight of stairs or something, and you can just sit there with a bow, plink plink plink until they're dead. And I just recently discovered that you can shoot arrows through doors. Closed doors. And you can see the enemy moving around through the cracks at the door edge, so you know it's there, and you get a pop up message when it dies, so you know when it's dead. I know it's kinda lame, but there it is.

Yea, right now i don't use a bow as a primary weapon, but in certain circumstances a bow has been useful. I just put my target in the center of the screen and hope for the best. I know when I hit because there's a splash of blood on the target. I'm still fairly new to this game, so I'm still learning it's ins and outs.

Daggerfall's inventory system is so clunky and slow the only potions I use are cure disease.

Bows are weird because they don't have the concept of controlling the shot strength like most newer games. They are great for backstabs and also for sitting in the void and shooting something from afar that's otherwise much too hard to kill.
