Hearthfire bugsglitches, general performance

Post » Tue May 07, 2013 8:09 am

Performance is good a little drop in fps here and there but nothing if at all noticeable. The bugs I encountered were the workbenches glitching up by say I have no furniture set in the house even with nearly all of the furniture has been put down, workbenches also not showing any item to make for the house wings. Buying furniture from your strewed seem to be also a waste of money seen as they don't get the furniture or if they do not all of it. Lastly texture seem to go bad here and there but comeback after a short period but the texture for the world map has gone down and isn't retruning back to normal. Overall I give it a 7/10 the bugs are annoying at best and nothing game breaking but if your not careful it will cost you a lot of gold performace it steady so ya good dlc.

They get it - it just takes time and isn't instant. In the PC version I had to pretty much just go about the game and eventually the house was furnished on it's own.It takes like a few weeks of in-game time to go that route.

Lakeview seem glitched and impossible to acquire if you have sided with the Imperials and done or started the quest kill Halvard . Its seem that both definetly glitch the purchase of the property . So I'll try some thing and search for a way around.

Here are my main concerns as of now, I CANNOT BUY WINSTAD MANOR. The house I really want because of the fish hatchery to breed river betties. Please, please, please fix this problem. I've done the quests for this town so idk what the problem is.

Other bugs I want to report are the courier who first shows up is freaking naked. Another one is I made Aela the Huntress my steward in Lakeview Manor but she disappears. Had to get her back in Whiterun right now. Dragonborn had NO bugs and Hearthfire feels like they made the b team work on it, sorry to say but you have to step it up. Also, I thought my wife would have more dialogue, nope, it still makes me want to eat her. You know, because I'm a cannibal.

I guess I'll report a glitch. My family is no where to be found.

I'll post the link to a thread I made in the HF General Discussion.
http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1445171-sowhere-did-my-family-go-disappearance/

I have since begun the process of moving my stuff from Hjerim into Lakeview Manor.

I've done the Dark Brotherhood quests, very first quests I started. Falkreath was no problem, it was the first and only house offered to me. Plus I have a bounty there and still do. I "pre-paid" my bounty in Morthal to make my perfect poisoner house and I can't.

HF, like DB, is running great. No major crashes, lag or bugs to report.

Just had my first hard freeze after hunting for salmon roe. Darnit! I spent like three hours harvesting that 300 to 400 roe! Now its all gone aside from that one freeze everything is running well with a few lagspikes and longer loading times.

Loving that adoption mechanic! Gave my kiddo a daedric dagger!

I modified it later to add it may also have to be connected to the Civil war ending, siding with the imperial.

I've got the no-option-to-get-Lakeview bug. :/
When I first started the game I spent a long time in Falkreath. Presently, I've finished all the guilds, etc, etc. I waited for many in-game days for the housing letter courier but nothing, however the dialogues for the other two houses are there for the jarls.
I planned to build all the houses, but the Falkreath one was where I wanted to live and put my spouse and adopted kids. Falkreath's my favourite hold.

Hoping that the bug irons itself out or something. Haven't tried turning the console off and on again, but it probably wouldn't help anyway. Built Winstad in the meantime, but no wings until it's 100% confirmed I can't get Lakeview.
Winstad was planned to be my resources/alchemy/enchanting house. Heljarchen was going to be the trophy/museum typle place. Lakeview was going to be home.

Otherwise, all's well and running fantastically. I had a little lag and two freezes, but those were because I was sprinting and Whirlind Sprinting through Falkreath forest (was kind of asking for it, with all the stuff to load) and the second was an autosave (forgot to turn off the Wait autosaves).

I have completed 127 quests and 223 misc objectives. 18 main and 35 side quests. 19 dark brotherhood quests. But I cannot see dialogue option in dragonsreach. The quest marker tells me to "report to the Jarl of whiterun" and I'm standing in front of him.

What am I missing? I deleted the game file and it reinstalled but that did not fix it. I am thane of whiterun and level 73.

I'll trade you my Falkreath land property for your Morthal one.

I was also going to use Winstad as a home to prepare poisons unfit to raise children in. Falkreath was going to be home.

Seems like we're all unhappy here with this DLC, it is bug ridden. All I want is for all of us to get the houses we want then I'll stop complaining. C'mon, I'm gonna buy Dawnguard anyway. Help the customers out.

Would be nice to have the game check if certain requirements are net and if not give Karl a dialogue to get quest started.

After adding the horse stable the hjalmaar hall additions glitch and the workbench and drafting table no longer display the additions.

I wonder if Bethesda has done any sort of QA at all on this thing?

I've done all the favors that I can. There are no more options supplied by the people. I did the DB quests like a year ago, long before this DLC was even thought up.

@ TImster and Launchpad, you can edit posts instead of double or triple-posting. x3

On-topic: It appears the can't-buy-property issue is widespread, but with different properties for different people. >.<
