Ok, I'm a bit confused on building the Hearthfire houses.

I chose the wings I wanted and got them built. Then I saw each wing had a building table. When I click on it, it has all these options for containers, shelves, animal trophies, etc.

I THOUGHT that I just click through each one and build that item. In other words, I could NOT build them if I wanted but I could build each thing and if so, my house would be all done. I noticed that a couple of building tables had run out of things to build and are blank when I click them.

In the main part of the house, I saw I could build an alchemy lab and an enchanting table. I had the things needed for the alchemy lab and built it. Next time I checked the building table, I had no option to make the enchanting table! Was it an either/or??? I didn't really WANT an alchemy lab but thought I might as well since I could change my mind eventually. But I definitely wanted the enchanting table.

Is it too late?

It’s not too late. Building the alchemy table should not prevent you from building the enchanting table.

Are you sure you didn't build it? The alchemy lab is on the ground floor. The enchanting station is upstairs.

So if I understand both of you correctly, if the option to build the enchanting station is not on the main hall building station, it should be be in the house and located upstairs somewhere. Correct?

I'm 85% sure I didn't build it because I was missing one of the materials needed. But I built so many things at once, I might have done it and not noticed. I am in and out of the house pretty quickly right now and don't spend much time there. I've been on a mission to gather all the building materials and get the house DONE. At that point, I'll take all the preset knickknacks off and put around all MY things I want displayed.

A table can run out of building options under two circumstances:

1. Every item that can be built has been built. You can then go to the drafting table outside and remove the table from the room.

2. Glitches.

If you keep re-activating a table where you know you should have more options and they are not showing, then they can sometimes show up. Be careful as it can also show items that have already been built, while you would not get two of a given item, the resources are still spent (if you select an item already built) . I have run into this most in Windstad Manor, though to a lesser extent in Heljarchen Hall. Lakeview Manor appears to be the best behaved in this regard.

So just keep re-activating the table in question and see if the option you seek comes up.
