Hearthfire houses

Post » Mon Feb 16, 2015 3:20 pm

Is there a link someone can direct me to in order to see the locations of the houses I have the option of building? I remember first play through, I didn't even realize there was a choice.

I like NO SNOW, prefer near water.

I just stumbled upon the yarl of Faulkreach and he let me buy land there. It's says "lakeview" and either it's too cloudy or I'm blind. I don't see a lake...

EDIT: I did some google searching and found pics of the three houses. Apparently the view of the lake will come when I get higher floors! *laughs*

well the only one I have owned so far is the one you get from Morthal, which is pretty flat in a snowy swamp/forest. It is ok, I like the location its just kind of dreary to make a house. Now I am planning on buying the one at falkreath.

Lakeview Manor is the one you want. I think the other two are in snowy, ugly places.

Heljarchen isn't bad. It is in snow, but it is just north of Whiterun so it's a fantastic location. You can clearly see Whiterun from the front door and it's not far from an entrance to the underground.

Yea, you're thinking about Lakeview! One thing I never understood about the houses was the fact that they were no where near the city you bought the land from. :P

I wish there was one near Riften, that's my favorite landscape. Reminds me of New England.

I don't know about the New England part(Never been to New England), but I can definitely agree that the Rift is the best looking landscape in the game. It's a shame they didn't utilize it more.

Lakeview Manor is actually pretty close to Falkreath. It's less than a five-minute walk from the Jarl's house to the building site (if you don't have to fight anything on the way). And I don't recall ever seeing any snow there. (None that stuck to the ground at any rate.)

How is it that they work improperly? Unlike the wall mounts for weapons a shields, to put something in a case, you have to Drop it from Inventory. Then pick it up by holding down the E key and steer it into the case with the mouse. (I put the deeds to my houses into a display case in each hose.)
