Hearthfire Question

Post » Wed Jun 05, 2013 10:46 pm

 Hi all.

it'll be two or three weeks before i can get my paws on LE, i have to save for a hardrive, the game itself

while dealing with birthdays, rent and food etc etc.

I just want to know how is the land given, can we choose where to build ?

For example, I want to build at Falkreath, do i need to gain the favour of the Jarl

there in order to get a courrier letter from his steward specifically ??

How does it work ??

thanks for reading, ely.

Basically you need to be thane of a hold to buy property on your chosen land. I think falkreath is automatically given to you though.

falkreath gives you a place by near the guardian stones.
morthal gives you a place by a swamp.
Dawnstar gives you a place near the lorios farm. (spelling)

you dont pick a place for it to be built.

Do like I did, research that the guys you can buy the land from are STILL ALIVE!

I just got hearthfire, having like 695 hours played with the regular game/dawnguard and dragonborn. Then I got to level 89, from 81, with the 1.9 patch.

Then I saw that hearthfire was 400 points on the xbox 360, so I figured what the heck.

BEFORE getting it, I made sure I was ready AND that the people you get the land from are in fact still alive. In reading forums, I've found that

at least ONE person of one hold may be a person you killed in a Dawnguard "kill the secret vampire" quest; How STUPID is that of Bethesda?

"Hey, lets BREAK someone's ability to enjoy hearthfire if they bothered to buy it LAST"

"GREAT IDEA, OLD BEAN!"
