Hearts of Tamriel Romance RP

{RP Thread formally known as Lilies in the Imperial Garden.}

Our adventure starts out in one of the most romantic city in Tamriel six years before the Oblivion crisis.

The Imperial City, wealth, prestigious academies, and an abundance of beautiful gardens threw out its districts. Of course all gardens pale in comparison to the famous Blue Dragon Lily garden.

It’s known by its unique lustrous pale blue lily, and famous for the romantic folklore that follows it.

Legend tells an ancient tale of two Ayeleid lovers. They say these lovers shared their final words sealed by a passionate kiss during their last days of the Alession Rebellion and the siege of our beloved Imperial city. It was in this very garden the two lovers said goodbye to our world and vowed their love for each other would live on even in death. They took their own lives that day to avoid being captured and most likely tortured then slain.

Their words of devotion and loyalty to each other was heard by the mother of love herself the Goddess Mara. Her heart sored for the love that those two had for one another and broke at the same for having their love cut short. In their honor of such love, such devotion she created the one of kind pale blue lily that blooms all year around and can only be found in this garden.

Some say this garden is enchanted, that when you look upon the pale blue lilies you will find your one true love. Others say you will be blessed by Mara herself and will confess your lovesick heart to another.

All can agree that everywhere, lovers of all ages in the Imperial city continue to express their feelings of love. Social class, race, occupation, physical condition, none of this matters. Love always finds a way.

This is a tale of Passion, Drama, Romance and above all Love….

It’s time to make your own romantic love story that will shared by generations to come.

“The most beautiful thing in Tamriel is the embrace of two lovers…”

You are welcome to explore your Passion with other Members or make your own lover up as you see fit. Remember some Romances may pop up on you when you least expect them. Others could take time to develop. We encourage you to push the boundaries of love and romance here on this role play.

3: Time Frame: before each post: Write your Characters name, location and time of day. Give some leeway when it comes to traveling by foot/ boat or horse it doesn’t have to be exact timing when traveling between locations.

4: No character controlling- “This means you cannot force another character to do something, RP that character, or cause any physical damage to them that their player does not first approve. Ways to make sure you don't do anything like that are to PM-message a character's player before engaging in a fight, or making a post in such a way as you make the attack but leaves the result open.”

5: Decent Combat between Cast members is encouraged especially a duel for or over a potential lover. Try to get away from inventing your own made up side kick to fight with, fight some real opponents with your Cast members. Just PM them a day in advance and figure out the plot and go for it! Readers love to see us all combat each other at one point in time, plus its great fun, but remember one must surrender the fight and suffer the consequence of defeat.

6: Battles to the death- in RPs between players are generally a bad idea. Before you engage in a player-fight, you should always decide who is going to die, or when they are going to stop.

7: Stay Current on Postings! Please if you missed a day go back and read the last thread catch up and get back on the RP. This site doesn’t care if you post daily or once a week as long as you are current on what the RP is about. It is vital that you understand that Post are more than Dialogue. Any dialogue on its own is boring; humor is always welcomed on a post. To have a good post, you must add their thoughts and feelings, how they react to what other people are saying and how their mind processes any information they have been given.

Leaving clues in your writing for future plans, vague hints at what is to come in your character's emotional life, or hints as to their past, can be fun to read and speculate about. Also always remember the element of surprise or “cliff hangers,” as we writers like to call them.

Be aware of the characters that already exist in the role-play before you create your character. Don't create a loner with no reason for interacting with the other players, and don't talk about your backstory before the other players get to know you enough to care about you.

Remember any Romance that is worth reading has to be realistic. We encourage you to excite our readers not only with your words but by adding mood music to your post or appropriate pictures of your scene/avatars.

Lastly HAVE FUN!!! :bunny: Life sometimes is too hard to deal with so come here into Fantasy where life gets a whole lot better “unless someone stole your sweet roll…

Lilly Emily, Talos Plaza Distinct, Emily family mansion, Morning

As the young girl slowly moved her head closer, she whispered in my ear,

“I love-

“Lilly, get down here your going to be late for school!!!”

Lilly yelped in surprise, as the book she was reading went flying into the air, and landed with a thump on the ground of her bedroom. Lilly quickly grabbed the book with her small hands, dusted it off, and put it back on the book-shelf, before blushing. She responded to her mother at the top of her lungs,

“Yes mom I’ll- be down in a second.”

She was already dressed in her school uniform, and her glasses where already covering her face. Lilly quickly grabbed her hairbrush on her nightstand, and started to brush her long blonde curls as fast as humanly possible. She quickly got out of her room, and headed down the stairs to the dining room. Her mother awaited her, hands crossed.

“Your Brother and sister have already left; you better get a move on before you’re late…”

Lilly nodded her head about a dozen times causing her blonde curls to fly around. She grabbed her satchel, and ran towards the door; before hearing her mother call out behind her,

“Remember don’t talk to strangers, and if you happen to forget where to go, ask one of the imperial guardsmen!!!”

“Yes mommy…”

She closed the door on her way out, before staring back at her family’s house; it was massive, even more so compared to Lilly,

I’m so small, yet my house is so big…” Lilly quietly chuckled to herself,

The school was a 30 minute walk from Lilly’s house, it, like her families mansion, was located in the Talos Plaza district. After leaving the mansion grounds, she quickly walked threw the streets, occasionally being greeted with a “milady” by a guard out on patrol. The Talos Plaza district was filled with gardens and the occasional fountain, adding to its “refined” (as her older sister said) appearance, it was after all, where the elite of the empire lived. No surprise that “Dragon-hearth” academy was where the elite were taught. A prestigious academy of 200 hundred years, being founded by the Nordic soldier “Bhalzar dragon-hearth” (The Head-Master of the school has always been a Nord due to tradition). Only the upper class could afford to attend the school, so-

A sudden jolt of pain assailed Lilly, as she was shoved to the ground from behind. As she landed on her right arm, she started to cough violently, . Lilly could hear someone laughing behind here, she looked behind to see 3 boys from her school .

“Awww did I hurt you, weakling? Going to cry to you mommy?” They said, before walking away from the downed girl

Lilly said nothing as she scrambled to pick up her books, which were now sprawled across the ground, along with her glasses , Lilly heard a soft-voice as she stumbled to get her books and glasses, and someone handed her, her fallen glasses,

“Are you alright?”

Freyr Mer-Killer
Morning
Market District

It was another ordinary day for Freyr. Bad mood, tired, and a dead deer slumped over his shoulder. Since his mother was getting older, and his father was busy with guard duty, it fell to him to get meat for his mother to sell in her general goods store. She was the only one that sold meat along with her other items, which set her business apart from the others. Freyr knew nothing about growing food, so meats and pelts was all he could get for her. Walking through the city he saw what he always did for the past month. Random races, mostly Imperial all looking at him like a bear just walked through the front gate. His mother insisted that he change his appearence so he didn't stand out so much, but that day for him would never come.

His father was already out it seemed as he walked into the shop which doubled as their home. The shop was called "Sylga's Assortment". Sylga liked him to have the deer cut and gutted before she woke up. The sight of it always made her uneasy. Freyr put down his hunting bow and quiver, then grabbed his gutting and skinning daggers, and then the gut bucket, and went down in his basemant to prepare the meat. After about an hour in a half he was pretty much finished. The skinning was a bit tougher to pull off then normal, but all around, it wasn't too bad.

Damn it, ruptured the bladder. That's gonna smell. Whatever, I'll dump this all out later.

Freyr washed himself off in the large bucket of water his mother always left for him, and then he took the cut meat and pelt up to the counter for Sylga to take care of the rest. He left the head for father to later stuff to he made into a trophy. Those sold pretty quickly to people who couldn't be bothered to hunt themselves.

"Meat and pelt's all good to go, ma! You need me, I'll be out of the city by the lake."

Sylga walked down from the stairs as he called out to her.

"Not so fast, did you put on those new clothes we got you?"

Freyr's brow knit from annoyance at the mention of the latest Imperial fashion his mom left him in his room.

"No, I'll wear what I have now. I'm twenty two for Talos's sake. You'll be trying to dress me when I'm an old man."

Sylga raised her voice above his. "You can't expect people to change if you won't."

"Then let them stay the way they are. I'm a Skyrim born Nord, and I'll never change. Now leave me be. I'm going."

Freyr walked out after grabbing his axes off the holsters by the door and sheathed them on each side of his waist.

This city is filled with such weakness. This place is too soft. I'm never going to improve my skill in battle living in this place. And father won't let me join the arena. I hate to say it, but if he ever falls in battle, he can't stop me then...

Freyr took out the pouch of gold in his belt. He didn't tell his parents but he was secretly betting on all of his father's matches. Watching and studying him as he collected gold to save up enough coin to get some ebony waraxes. He only had One hundred and twelve gold pieces however, so he had a long ways to go.

And once I get enough gold from my winnings as a gladiator, I'm moving on my own. Maybe back to Skyrim. Or to Chorrol to join the fighters guild.

Freyr approached the door leading out of the market district, and was "greeted" by a Redguard Imperial guard.

"Good to see you, savage."

"Same to you, milkdrinker. My pa knows you call me that?"

Freyr already wasn't in well with the guards, which means he wasn't doing well with his father. Every incident, every fight, every rude remark he spoke around them was relayed to his pa. Nothing got past him. Including the fight he picked with the Redguard which landed him a night in Imperial jail. Issued of course by his own pa.

In Skyrim, fights were no big deal. They were natural. Here, I can't even breath without guards hopping on my [censored].

Freyr walked past the Redguard soldier after exchanging scowls and made his way to the arena.

Veric Athellered, Athellered home in the Temple district.

Veric awoke to the bright sun shining down against his face and the birds chirping loudly in nearby buildings. It took his eyes a few seconds to focus on the surroundings on his room, and a few minutes more before his brain realized that he had awoken later than normal.

"Craaap what hour is it!? I am supposed to be at the temple with father today!"

The young man hopped quickly out of bed and got dressed as quickly as he could into some blue wool slacks and ran out of the room before realizing he forgot the matching shirt and doubled back. While running into the main living room Veric ended up catching a toe on the nearby kitchen table and stubbing it hard, causing the boy to yelp out and immediately lift the leg to hold the sore toe. He hopped helplessly on his good foot for a few moments before plopping himself down in the chair he usually sat in to eat meals.

"Mara's mercy that hurt..." He whimpered in an annoyed tone before noticing the paper laid neatly on the table. Veric picked it up and read it silently.

*Veric my son, I want you to have the day off for rest. You have been working so hard lately and I worry about you. Go buy yourself some books son, or get yourself some new ingredients for your alchemy; there are a few Septims in the usual place.

With love, Maniel

Veric gave a soft smile as he read the letter, and kept absent mindedly rubbing his foot. The toe was still throbbing rather strongly but the sharp pain had subsided. He bandaged up the toe then walked outside of their humble home in search of something to do. He wasn't really in the mood for buying things today even though he was pleased that his father considered that for him. With no real work to be done but the urge to not lay about the boy made his way through the Temple district, making light conversation with whoever he walked by as not to be rude. Although Veric was on the shy side and didn't prefer to be the one doing the talking he did rather like when others spoke to him, it made him feel like he was liked and that he mattered to someone other than family and the few friends he had. Finally after roughly an hour of walking he had made it to his destination; the Arboretum.

The Arboretum was one of his favorite districts in the whole city, with it's large and grand monuments to the Nine Divines. Veric stood for a moment and admired the statue of Talos before wondering around the area to give a little bit of maintenance. Luckily for Veric not much needed to be done as there were official people to tend to the area but the lad did manage to pick up some scant litter and get rid of a few weeds that grew around the statues. All of this had taken him quite a bit of time itself and Veric was tired but pleased by the time he had finished. This was the slight ache of good work and not the pain of violence or some other such nonsense.

"S'pose that is good enough. Perhaps I will go to one of the gardens for some reading after all." Veric wasn't sure what else he should do with his free time anyways. All his friends were busy with their own endeavors this day. He decided to make the long walk all the way back to the Talos Plaza district. (Because I'm assuming that is where the garden is right?) He made sure to stop back at his home along the way and got book #2 of his favorite series The Argonian Account. sitting himself down on a slightly moldy rock he opened the book and let the sound of nature as well as the light, cool, breeze help immerse him into the world of the book.

Alix Vanne
Imperial City, Talos District, Alix and Ra'jhaara's House

"47, 48, 49... 50!" Getting up from his push-up position, Alix then went over to the body bag and started throwing kicks and punches at full force. Incredibly the 250lb bag swayed to and fro from the force of Alix's strikes.

"Good, good! Make sure you throwing your hip into every one of your hand strikes. Remember, a Khajiiti martial artist draws energy from the earth and projects that energy into his opponent."

Alix stopped his bag routine and looked over at his father, Ra'jhaara. In the blink of an eye, Alix launched forward into a right straight, but Ra'jhaara with his cat like reflexes dodged it immediately and tripped Alix's leg and pinned him to the ground. Smiling at his son, Ra'jhaara said, "Fast, but not fast enough. You still have a long way to go, before you can outwit your father, Ra'jhaara", getting up off of his son, Ra'jhaara handed Alix his hand and helped him up.

Both of them walked up the stairs and up to the main floor of the house. Walking into the kitchen, Ra'jhaara got two bowls of Khajiiti rice and meat. Sitting down at the table together, they both started to eat. Taking a drink from his cup of water, Alix looked up at his father and said, "By the way dad, I'm going to spend the day at the market district and the arena. I just thought I'd let you know."

Ra'jhaara looked back at his son and said, "This one does not mind Alix taking a day off from training. Go ahead and enjoy yourself, but make sure you watch yourself around the market district at night. Pickpockets tend roam those streets at that hour."

Finishing up his late breakfast, Alix smiled at his dad and said, "I will make sure to that in mind. Though I'm a son of a Grandmaster Khajiiti martial artist. I'll be fine don't worry", getting up from the table, Alix headed up to his room to change into some upper class clothes and headed out the door.

Finally arriving in Market District, Alix spent the next couple hours shopping around for various odds and ends. While doing so, he was getting smiles from women in the market place. Even though Alix knew he was a good looking guy, he never had that much interaction with the opposite six, so he was obvious quite flustered at their stares.

Getting tired of the Market place, Alix decided to head to the arena. On the way there he accidently bumped into a big Nord, with long unkept brown hair. Alix emmdiately apologized to the Nord.

"Forgive me sir, I did not see you", Alix then noticed the Nord was heading to the arena too. "I see you're heading to the arena. I heard there are supposed to some good duels today." Hopefully he replies back.

Freyr
On his way to the arena
Morning

Freyr felt someone bump into him, but he looked around and didn't see anyone.

"Forgive me sir, I did not see you."

Freyr looked down to see a short Breton speaking to him. Freyr gave him an instinctive scowl as he sized him up. He was small. Everyone was compared to him, but as a Breton, he was especially small to Freyr. One thing he noticed though was that the Breton did not seem to be afraid of him, he was respectable to him, and he wasn't built like the rest of the weaklings that would call him kin.

How exactly do you not see me of all people?

"I see you're heading to the arena. I heard there are supposed to some good duels today."

Freyr stopped his scowling since the Breton was courteous, and they had similar interests.

"Aye, my father's supposed to be one of them later. He fights for the blue team. I'll be betting on him. I'm Freyr. And you? What is your name, Breton?"

Phenix – Imperial city, Morning

Something about the feel of the tattered worn paper gently setting in my soft warm hands makes my heart skip a beat. Then as I hear the crinkling sound from the paper as I unroll it to read its secret sets my body electric. My eyes widen scanning every inch of its contents. My fingers tremble as I caress and hold the paper. My heart racing now as I hear my own soft spoken voice say their name again, and again.
Contract:
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/600/contracthitfreyr.jpg/

"Freyr Mer-Killer, oh yes…."

Eyes open, breathing slows down. I throw the contract into the fire watching it burn to ash. Then I leave my room with a satisfying smile on my face.

I was so taken by the excitement of a new Contract that when I left my rented room at the Inn I backed right into another gentlemen trying to leave his house. He was very handsome young man with light brown hair and the most beautiful silver eyes that a gal like me can appreciate. I probably smiled a little longer at him then I would have like too. He kinda caught me off guard.

“So it looks like we are going to be neighbors,” as I looked over at his house. He didn’t reply and seemed a little nervous.
“Oh my look at the time I really must get going.”
As I walk past him I gently whisper in his ear, “I’m Phenix, remember my name.”

{24 hours earlier}

“For the love of Sithis will you hold still!” Shadowmere nickered back to me as I teetered on her back. Standing in my saddle I took hold of that broom handle and WACKED the hell out of that bee hive and sent it flying through the air. I waited a while for the bees to scatter and I picked it up and brought it back to my home at Battlehorn castle located just outside the small city of Chorrol. Oh I so love the honey comb as I gently held it over my head and let the sugary honey drip into my mouth. My hot wet tongue twirled around my lips tasting, licking the sticky goodness. “Ummmmm, so good.”
“Ok Shadowmere give it a good stomping,” and I placed it in front of her to paw at it. “Good girl.” I took the mangled bee hive and mounted up.

Night fell as I rode towards the Chestnut Handy stables outside of the Imperial city. Quickly pulling the flatten bee hive from my saddle bag I placed it down far in the corner of the stable corral. I dismounted at the gate and waited for the stable hand to arrive.

“Hello Miss, may I help you? My name is Restita Statlilia the stable girl. I can take your mare and board her in for the night. All you need to do is just knock on the door and the owner Snak gra-Bura the Orc woman will settle up with you.”

“Thank you sweetie,” and I handed her the reins to Shadowmere. I went to the door and before I could knock
a man came out and introduced himself to me. “Hello my lady, I am one of the owners my name is Brielus Gawey. It’s a pleasure to meet such a beautiful lady,” and he smiled while looking down at my cleavage.
“Here now let me show you around the stables.” I followed him as we came around the corner I could see Shadowmere being untacked. I motioned my hand slightly not to draw any attention and she went ballistic. Rearing up, whinnying the highest pitch sound a horse could make. The other horses in the corral were scared to death and they all started scrambling around frantically. I ran in and grabbed her reins and WOOPS I dropped them to the ground. She took off like a shot as I screamed and was knocked to the ground. The Orc women Snak gra came running out of the house and into the corral to help. The Guards heard all the commotion and came running to.

Just before I almost got stepped on by one of the horses one of the Guards named Tolfi picked me up and was carrying me towards the gate. “Hang on Miss I got you.” He barely made it through the gate when we turned to see Shadowmere rear up and topple over.

“Shadowmere!!!! No by the great Divines NO!!!” I jumped from the Guards arms and ran back into corral. The Guard followed me as the others were all trying to calm and stable the other horses that were loose and running around us. The Guard pulled at her bridle to help her up as I screamed in fear.
She shook her head and stared at me and blinked her red glowing eyes as she regained her footing and lifted her 1000lbs body off from the ground.

“Sweet Mother… Mara,” the Guard yelled when he saw what had happened when my horse fell. “I’ll get some help he screamed as he ran quickly towards the Imperial gate.”

The blood dripped from her Orc mouth as she struggled to breathe. Shadowmere stood over us both protecting me from any other horses trampling me. I bent down and wiped the tears falling from her eyes. I could see every bone in her body was shattered and crushed. The blood flows now from her ears and nose, it’s not much time now. Staring deep into her eyes I lean in closer and whisper into her blood filled ear.

“I guess you ate your last horse Orc!”
Hating her horse eating ways I couldn’t resist myself and I took my elbow pressing hard across her throat suffocating her until death. As she breathed her last breath I smiled and said, “Tell Sithis his Phenix says hello.”

Brielus, the stable hand and one of the Guards by then got the other horses calmed down. They came running over to us. “She dead?” They all looked at me in shock. Big tears fell down my cheeks as I looked at her lifeless body. “Yes I am afraid so. I am so sorry I don’t know why my Mare went crazy, she has never acted like that before.”

One of the Guards came walking up to us and dropped the trampled bee hive on the ground next to the body. “I think your horse got stung Miss. It’s just a terrible accident; there was nothing any of us could have done.”
The Guards started to take the body away and the stable hand took my horse in the barn. I walked with her taking my saddle bag with me. I slipped out a carrot and gave my horse a well-deserved treat and a good scratching on her neck. “Good girl.”

“Well I guess I own the stables now, I just can’t believe this,” Brielus said.
I walked past him smiling. “Well the Dark Brotherhood aims to please, and failure isn’t an option.”
His face goes pale and swallows hard.

{Back to present time}

Ten coins on the blue. I walked down the concrete steps looking for a good seat.

“Oh excuse me please may I set in between both of you rugged men? It’s just that I am a little cold by the brisk cool air. My white lavender scented hair blew in the wind revealing through my almost sheer silk cream dress just how cold and nipbley I really was.

Blushing a little, “Maybe you guys could keep a gal warm?”
Both men, one handsome rough and tough looking Nord man with dark long hair and the other handsome guy with silvery eyes that I bumped into earlier looked up at me at the same time. Then………

Alix Vanne
Heading towards the Arena
Morning
[1/2 hour before the Arena starts]

At first it seemed that the Nord was scowling and sizing Alix up at the same time. Is he angry or mute? Then all of sudden the Nord's expression went from irritated to friendly. Well that was quick.

The Nord then spoke in a decently deep voice, "Aye, my father's supposed to be one of them later. He fights for the blue team. I'll be betting on him. I'm Freyr. And you? What is your name, Breton?"

Alix smiled at the Nord and replied, "My name is Alix. I wasn't expecting to bump into someone who knew some of the fighters, no less one of them would that said person's father. I was going to bet on the blue team too. They seem to always have the upper hand somehow. Since we're heading the same way Freyr, you want get some seats together? I'm fairly new to the Imperial City, so I really don't know anybody around here."

While waiting for a reply from Freyr, Alix suddenly remembered bumping into a beautiful woman on his way out of his house. Phenix, I remembered your name.

[Present time]

While watching the duel, Alix heard a voice from his left. Sounds familiar. Looking to his left he saw the girl woman from earlier. She asked if she could sit between Alix and Freyr. Dammit, everytime it's a beautiful woman talking to me I choke up. Alright it's time I change. Smiling at the woman, Alix said, "Of course, Phenix. My name is Alix, Alix Vanne. I moved into the Imperial City about 6 months ago. What about you, Phenix?"

Freyr
Arena District
Morning

"My name is Alix.

"I don't see why not. You're not like the rest of the people here. I can tell. If we're going, then lets hurry. We're already late."

Freyr was excited to have someone to speak to during the match. He hadn't spoken to anyone in the time he was here in a friendly manner. As the two made their way to the arena, Freyr took out his pouch of gold and gave it to the Bosmer waiting. He was an odd sort, always smiling, and he often repeated the same exact phrase when mentioning bets. It was clear the fellow had been on this job for quite a while.

"Ah yes, so you must be here to make a bet!"

"Yes, I'm here to make a bet. I'm ALWAYS here to make a bet. Is that so shocking, elf?"

The Bosmer kept his same facial expression, which creeped Freyr out, and of course angered him.

"Sir, I am only doing my job. Now, will it be th-"

"The blue team. All the gold. See you later."

Freyr walked up the stairs leading to the left and didn't wait for his new acquaintance to make his bets. He walked up to the balcony and listened as the crowd roared at the match that was still going on. An argonian rogue was fighting fiercely against a big ugly orc he recognized as the grand champion. The man Agronak-Gro-Malog was clearly toying with him as he sidestepped the argonians dual daggers and tail swipes with ease.

The champion fought with sword and shield of elven make, and he wore a special gold and red variation of the arena's competitor outfit. The argonian was bloodied and tiring out quickly, and was about to make a desperate final maneuver. He charged towards the champion, then leaped into the air and did a spinning attack striking at Agronak with his daggers and tail. Agronak who was growing bored ended it quickly by blocking all the strikes with his shield, and then hitting the argonian between the eyes with his shield's side. The argonian went down in an instant, then the champion walked up to him, and quickly plunged his blade into the lizard man's neck.

The crowd let out a thunderous cheer at the sight of the challenger's blood wetting the sand. This being a Champion match, Agronak got to take the weapons and armor of the Argonian, but he left it. The argonian fought with mere leather armor and iron daggers. It seemed odd that the Champion would give the creature the time of day to Freyr.

Must be a slow week.

After the crowd died down, Freyr sat next to Alix with a chair in between them. Before he could speak, a woman came and sat between the two and interrupted his thoughts.

“Maybe you guys could keep a gal warm?”

The woman that had graced his presence was not what Freyr had grown accustomed to seeing. Her clothes were of fine make, revealing and complementing every last curve that she was blessed with. Her hair went on for eras and smelled like the flowers his mother once grew in Skyrim. Her bosom looked as though she had smuggled Masser and Secunda themselves out of the sky under her blouse. Her lips were exquisite and moist, and her eyes made him feel as though he could fall into them. The way she stared at him...as if she craved something from him.

"AAAnd from the blue corner we have straight from the freezing mountains of Skyrim..... MMMMer-Killer! This man has already slain twelve people in the short month that he has been here! Who will win? The yellow team or the blllluuue team?!?! Lets....find out!"

Freyr snapped out of his trance and remembered why he was here. As much as he wanted to talk to the young woman, he came here to learn.

"Um, excuse me."

Freyr stepped away, and went back to the balcony to observe the fight.

Phenix – Imperial city, Morning, at the Arena

"Of course, Phenix. My name is Alix, Alix Vanne. I moved into the Imperial City about 6 months ago. What about you, Phenix?"

I moved with poise and grace and proceeded to take a seat in between the men.

“Well hello Alix it’s nice to meet you finally. I think I may have caught you a little off guard earlier in front of your house,” and I just smiled.
I turned towards the Nord man waiting for him to introduce himself but nothing happened, not even a stare from him.

Umm, looking at him, messy long hair, not clean shaven and don’t even get me started on what he was wearing maybe he couldn’t speak. Maybe he was some kind of Wild Thing that Skyrim spit out.

“Oh Alix, I am new to this city just arrived last night. I am not sure for how long I will be staying,” as I glanced over in the Nords direction. Then we all heard the announcer….

"AAAnd from the blue corner we have straight from the freezing mountains of Skyrim..... MMMMer-Killer! This man has already slain twelve people in the short month that he has been here! Who will win? The yellow team or the blllluuue team?!?! Lets....find out!"

"Um, excuse me."

“Sure,” and I moved a little closer to my new friend Alix. Trying to get out of the Nords way as he seemed preoccupied.”

Freyr stepped away, and went to the balcony to observe the fight.

I had a good long look at him. Sizing him up so to speak so I could plan my hit and complete my Contract.
I don’t know what excites me more the kill itself or planning it. With that I decided to turn all my attention on Alix. He was sitting by this Nord man and talking to him
when I arrived, so it would make sense they must know each other. He could be a good source to tap.

“Umm, I guess he couldn’t keep me warm after all but what should I expect from a cold blooded Nord, right Alix?” I giggled a little and gave that silvery eyed young man a sultry smile that he soon would not forget………….

Freyr
Arena Balcony
Morning

As the gates dropped, Freyr's pride in his father soared. He came walking out of that room as if he was Talos himself. He was wearing the traditional blue team heavy armor, and besides the hair being cut down military style like that of a lot of the legion men, he of course looked just like Freyr if Freyr was clean cut. He too fought with two axes like Freyr, and he walked out slowly, twirling them in his hands to feel the balance while eying his prey. His opponent was another Orc wielding a large war hammer. It was of course of Orsimer make, and he wielded it as if he was holding merely a stick. From where Freyr stood, it looked as though the orc was a head taller then he was, but Tolfi did not mind. After some slow circling, the two clashed. Tolfi ducked under the first initial swipe to his head, then swiped upwards towards his jugular. The orc tilted his head backwards to dodge it, then tried to hit Freyr's father with the pommel of his hammer. Tolfi pivots on his feet, and sends a side swipe once more with his axe in his left hand, and this time the axe makes a mark. The blood sprays out over Tolfi's arm, and the crowd instinctively cried out in awe. The sound was overwhelming to Freyr. Even after a month of hearing it, he had never grown tired of the chills down his spine that came from the thunderous shockwave of sound from the masses of the arena.

"Yeeaa! Show him, father!"

Freyr didn't mind calling out, as he knew his father wouldn't hear from all the noise. The orc grew frustrated at being bested, and charged straight toward Tolfi. His father hit the hammer on the side to block the attack, and for a while the two went into a wretched dance of death, swinging, dodging, parrying, both fighting intensely to end the others life. In that time, the orc managed to get a rather powerful hit on Tofi's left shoulder, which made him drop his left axe in pain. This made Freyr's eyes bulge as he put his hands on his head with his mouth gaped. He never once had seen anyone land a blow on him before in his life.

Get your [censored] together pa.

After that, Tolfi got more serious, more determined. He went back into the fight with his single axe, and was moving just as fast as before. Tolfi after a while could see that the orc was tired, and used that opportunity to score another blow. He ducked under another hammer swing, and this time swung his axe as hard as he could into the orc's gut. The armor blocked the axe and prevented it from cutting, but Tolfi managed to break some ribs. His father laughed arrogantly and backed up, waiting for the orc to gain his composure.

The orc was bloodied, but not down for the count yet. The mighty orc after catching his breath dashed towards Tolfi, and heaved his large hammer up into the air, then let the weight fall down towards Tolfi's skull. Tolfi laughed at the slow attack and side stepped it, letting the hammer hit the ground. After that, he stomped on the weapon, forcing it to the ground, then he ran forward and head butted the orc in his nose, knocking him down on his back. Before the orc could get up, Tolfi jumped up and landed on the orc's chest. This knocked all the fight out of the orc. Afterwards, Tolfi took his axe and slammed it right down the middle of the orc's face in between his eyes. The battle was over.

"Yeeaa! That's my pa!"

Tolfi looked over in his direction before he walked off. Freyr didn't realize how noticeable he was from the balcony even from this distance, but he did not care. A part of him wanted his father to see despite the scolding he'd likely get later. The last fight was a good one, and he couldn't help but see himself in his father on that field. His father seemed angry at first. He knew Freyr wanted to follow in his footsteps, but he did not want him dying early before he lived his life. But he got over it and couldn't help but feel pride at his son seeing his victory. Tolfi raised his axe in the air and let out a battle cry to his son, and Freyr let out one of his own. The cheering and yelling filled Freyr's spirit with glee as it always did.

I see why you wanted to come here. Being a great warrior in Skyrim is one thing. But here, you can show all of Tamriel what you can do. That will be me very soon. Looks like there is at least one good thing about this place. Mom's gonna kill you when she finds out you were injured however...

Now that the fight was over, he could hear the pair behind him conversing. They had been talking while the match was going on, but Freyr had not payed any attention. But now that it was over, Freyr decided he'd try his hand at the beauty that made her way to the balcony.

"So, what have you two been discussing?"

Alix Vanne
Arena
Morning

"AAAnd from the blue corner we have straight from the freezing mountains of Skyrim..... MMMMer-Killer! This man has already slain twelve people in the short month that he has been here! Who will win? The yellow team or the blllluuue team?!?! Lets....find out!"

It seemed when the announcer said that name, Mer-Killer, Freyr got up and went towards the balcony. Alix wanted to who it was. The man was wielding duel axes, like the ones that Freyr were carrying. That Mer-Killer guy must be his dad.

Phenix then started talking to Alix all of sudden. “Well hello Alix it’s nice to meet you finally. I think I may have caught you a little off guard earlier in front of your house. Oh Alix, I am new to this city just arrived last night. I am not sure for how long I will be staying. Umm, I guess he couldn’t keep me warm after all but what should I expect from a cold blooded Nord, right Alix?”

Replying to her statements Alix said, "Yeah I guess you did. I was in a bit of a hurry back then. Well I hope you stay for a little bit, besides Freyr, who I just met, I don't realy have anybody else who can keep me company, besdies my dad of course", as he said those things, Phenix moved closer to him. "Well I guess he had a good reason. He wanted to see his father fight. Who wouldn't."

As if on cue, Freyr turned around and said to the both of them, "So, what have you two been discussing?"

Alix replied, "Oh a little bit of this and that. By the way, that duel was spectacular. Your father is an exceptional warrior. Seeing him fight makes me want to become an Arena combatant. Though I would use any weapons of course", Alix finished smiling.

"Thanks. We nords are natural born warriors. You say you wish to join the arena? Ha, that would be a sight. It is interesting, as I unsurprisingly too wish to join. In fact, I'm going to sign up tomorrow. Look for me on the blue team. What say you to that, friend? If you wish to join, you and I should spar some time."

He probably thinks that since I'm a Breton, that my martial abilities are subpar. His mistake. Alix smiled and said, "Of course. I've been training in the ways of combat and Khajiiti martial arts ever since I was 2 years old. Me and my dad, Ra'jhaara, moved from Elsweyr to come here. If you want, after we're done here, we could head over to my place and spar. I would love to see your combat prowess."

"Did you say your father's name is Ra'jhaara? Are you adopted by a khajiit?"

"Yes. My real parents were killed, or so my father says. Ra'jhaara says he found me on the steps of his dojo when I was just 18 months old, and ever since then he raised as his own son. It's from him that I learned to fight with body and steel."

"Then I would be honored to spar with another warrior. I look forward to seeing what a Breton can do. I can't spar with you today however. I need to go hunting game for my mother's shop. Heh, and afterwards I'll hit the tavern for some mead. You should meet me there tonight."

Alix smiled back at the big Nord. Someone who I can spar with finally. Plus he's bigger than me, so it would be a great way test my strength and become stronger.

Alix replied, "Alright it's settled then. I also look forward to seeing what big Nord like you can do. I'll also make sure to meet you at the tavern. By the way, if you ever need a place to train and spar, come over to my house any time. I have a full training space in my basemant that me and my dad use. If you come though, be prepared for a hard workout. Me and my father train relentlessly. See you at the tavern toight, Freyr."

Alix then got up from his chair and stretched. Looking back at Phenix, Alix asked her, "What are you're plans for the day, Phenix?"

Phenix – Imperial city, Late Morning, at the Arena

"Well I guess he had a good reason. He wanted to see his father fight. Who wouldn't?"

The crowd went wild as the Champion claimed once again victory. I stood up as I heard both Nords do a distinct battle cry to each other. Why does that sound so familiar I wondered?
Clapping my hands at his Father’s victory. “Impressive, yes…”

Alix then got up from his chair and stretched. Looking back at Phenix, Alix asked her, "What are your plans for the day, Phenix?"

“Umm, well first I am going to collect my winnings, and then maybe do some shopping. I heard the stores around here are the best in fine Imperial fashion.
I would like to check this city out and see what it has to offer…..”

“Oh and I would like to see you both spar as well. What can I say I love to watch sweaty men beating the heck out of each other really turns me on.”
My deep blue eyes glance in both of their direction waiting for their response. The wind picks up and lifts my hair. My soft warm hand with long blood red fingernails comb through my hair. Brushing it away from my pink blushing cheeks. My pouty red lips curl as I give them a sixy smile.

Freyr didn't exactly understand it, but all thoughts of hunting simply left his mind at the sight of this woman, combing her hair with her hands. Freyr knew that to be with Phenix, he'd do almost anything. This worried him and excited him at the same time. His heart began to pound as her gaze set on him. He still couldn't quite shake the feeling of weakness she caused when she looked at him. It was strange...She was seductive and yet dangerous looking at the same time. Like a black widow who eats her mate after the deed is done. What was it? Was it simply her confidence? Whatever it was, Freyr had never encountered it before. It was already decided before he had time to consider it.

"Well in that case forget the hunting. I say we go spar right now. If it would please you, Phenix."

Freyr extended his hand out to stand the woman up out of her chair. He had to have this girl. Nothing at the moment mattered besides that fact. She made his last love look like a scullery maid in comparison, and on top of that, a Breton was competing for her. He couldn't lose to a Breton. He wouldn't allow it.

"It would be my pleasure to give you a taste of what a nord can do, before I lay my life on the line in the arena. Who knows, I may even dedicate my victory to...some lucky woman. May even be you..."

Freyr gave another scowl at Alix.

Sorry, Alix. She's mine. I just met you, and I'd hate to fight with the first friendly person I've met since I've got here, but this is an opportunity I can't pass on. And I'm going through you to get it if I must, Breton. I'll be damned if I lose to a man half my size.

Alix was surprised by the sudden change in Freyr's attitude. He must be infatuated with her. What man wouldn't?

Alix gave Freyr an inquisitive look and said, "I thought you had to do some hunting? Well no matter. I'll spar if you want. Just don't take it too seriously, friend......"

Phenix – Imperial city, Late Morning, at the Arena

Taking his hand in mine I stood and was surprised by his attention all the sudden. It was not but an hour earlier he rudely ignored both Alix and I. He didn’t even introduce himself to me when Alix did.

Glancing at his hand before I let go I could see he was a true Nord. His hands were very large, big knuckles resembled hard working man’s hands. They were rough to the touch with an occasional nick and scraqe.
I could see blood stains well underneath his fingernails. Umm, must be a Hunter or Assassin that Father and the Black Hand didn’t approve of…. Doesn’t matter to me either way he is a dead man! Smiles again right at him.

"It would be my pleasure to give you a taste of what a Nord can do, before I lay my life on the line in the arena. Who knows, I may even dedicate my victory to...some lucky woman. May even be you..."

“Wait a minute did I hear you correctly? You want to join the Arena Warriors? Oh my how exciting that would be to watch you fight. I surely would bet on you for the win. Correct me if I am wrong however but in order for you to become the new Imperial Champion, wouldn’t you have to fight and kill your own Father? Don’t get me wrong I mean my Father continues to be a pain but I could never hurt him let alone kill him. Wouldn’t want any of those old Folk Lore’s coming true with a visit from Lucien and the Dark Brotherhood.”
I rolled my eyes and began to giggle.

“Oh and as far as dedicating your victory to me,” starts to slowly circle you. My warm soft hands brush up against your chest. Touching your strong muscular abs, down my hand goes sweeping across your navel feeling your armor and foundling your axes. Still circling you watching your expressions as I touch your skin. My hand finds its way up and down your strong built arm. My last sweep pass you I lean in and press my body close to yours and whisper in your ear,” Don’t make promises you don’t intend to keep…”

Goes over and kisses handsome Alix on his cheek, "it was very nice to meet you.."

With that I walk away from both men and go and collect my winnings……

Dominic
The Arena
Late Morning

"All right ladies and gentleman, this next fight is sure to be a good one! Returning to the arena for the first time in a year, with over thirty victories under his belt, the Yellow Team's... Dominic Vesuvius!"

Dominic always found the announcer annoying. Dominic didn't come here for glory or any of that nonsense. He was a combatant in the arena regularly three years ago, but only for him to get a feeling for the outside world. He had grown up cloistered in the Imperial City his whole life. When he decided to take up his sword against vampires, he wanted to know what he was up against. His father had shown him soldier skills, but practice dummies are no match for a real person. So he signed up for the arena, despite his father's cursing and his mother's weeping. His father cursed him for being so foolish. His mother wept for her son's life. Indeed he did enter the arena a fool in fear of his life. But he returned wise and intact.

Today was just part of his annual ritual. Every year on the eve of what would have been his anniversary, he returns to the arena to commemorate the night that he had to fight his fiance.

"So let the battle... BEGIN!"

The gates lowered, and Dominic stepped into the arena. His opponent, a large Orc with an equally large warhammer, charged at him head-on. Dominic took up a defensive stance, with his shield up and sword at his side. The Orc was larger in muscle and height than Dominic was, so there was no way the shield could protect him. With this in mind, Dominic grabbed his shield by the edge and flung it at the Orc. The Orc was too slow to dodge it, and the shield hit him in the stomach, stopping his charge. Dominic took this opportunity to charge himself, and made for a blow with his sword. However, the Orc sprang up, knocking Dominic onto his back. The Orc took a wind with his hammer and slammed it at Dominic, but Dominic rolled out of the way. The Orc struck the metal grate that was underneath Dominic, breaking through it. His hammer got stuck, and Dominic took this opportunity. He struck the Orc's legs, wounding him and bringing him to his knees. He then struck his arms, causing the Orc to release his grip from the hammer, making it fall through the grate. Finally, Dominic struck his neck, beheading him, ending the fight.

Dominic stood straight, looking at the front-down corpse.

"What a match! We have a winner! All hail Dominic Vesuvius from Yellow Team! Victor from the Yellow Team, leave the arena now and rest! You've earned it!"

Still gripping his bloody sword, Dominic stood over the body. He reversed his grip on the sword, and then proceeded to stab the Orc's dead body. He did so with surgical precision, silently counting to himself. Once he had finished his business, the Orc's body was painted in blood, barely recognizable. The crowd was silent, and so was Dominic as he left the arena, shaking the blood off his sword.

Once he left the arena, he washed his sword and armor meticulously. Being a swordsman is bloody work. However, you can't afford for it to be bloody work when you're against vampires, lest they smell the scent. Once done, his armor was a shiny black. He then left the building and walked back out onto the streets of the city.

Dominic was refreshed. This annual ritual reminded him of his cause, and renewed those emotions that kept him on track. But as much as this was a figurative refreshment, it was time for a literal refreshment.

"I thought you had to do some hunting? Well no matter. I'll spar if you want. Just don't take it too seriously, friend......"

Freyr gave Alix a sly smile and said “Oh don’t worry, I’m the picture of self-control.”

“Oh and as far as dedicating your victory to me,”

Freyr’s eyes followed Phenix as she paced around him, like a predator sizing up her prey. He confidently smiled as her soft warm hands slided over his naval, abs, chest and his axes, flexing his pecks a bit as she did. In his mind, she was already his. His heart pounded as she continued to handle him, and the closer she got, the louder his heart cried out, as if the organ itself wanted to rip out of his chest to be with her on its own. When she pressed against him, he thought surely she could hear it. He began to feel bad for Alix. Standing there being forced to watch the two surely couldn’t be good for his self esteem.

Sorry, Alix. That’s just the name of the game. Besides, theres plenty of women here that you can have. Not many here would be interested in a “savage” like me.

Freyr closed his eyes in anticipation of what he considered to be an inevitable kiss. But then….

” Don’t make promises you don’t intend to keep…”

Freyr opened his eyes, and couldn’t believe that she stood him up and kissed Alix instead! The anger of seeing Feralda with another nord returned, and Freyr almost lost his temper. After she left, he calmed down, and realized she was simply toying with them on purpose.

If she wants a show, I’ll give her a show. She must think me a fool, but I know her game. She wants to see whose the better man.

Freyr stepped away from Alix and went to the balcony in time to see the other contester cut off the head of yet another orc. The sight made Freyr reflect on his new obsession’s words.

She’s right. If I go into the Arena now, one day I will be forced to fight my father. But that day won’t come for a while. I’d have to challenge him for the position of blue team champion. I simply won’t. I could never kill my pa. Maybe that’s the real reason he doesn’t want me joining. It’s not for my safety…he thinks I’ll take his spot as champion. Or I’m just being paranoid. Whatever, I’m joining.

“Alix, let’s go spar now.”

Gaelyn Stinclave, Talos Plaza District, Morning

Gaelyn decided to take a detour through the Talos Plaza on her way to the University. While it slightly extended her trip it was nice to be in the one part of the Imperial City that didn’t attract pickpockets.

Seeing a large crowd of children she assumed that the building to her left was a school. The Imperial paused to look at it a moment, since while the school she had been to was good, its buildings where nowhere near as magnificent, and most of the children were as rich as many of the crowd in front of her were. Despite this she also saw various small fights breaking out, and other behaviour that the average upper-class lady would sniff at and call ‘uncivilised’. Good to know that they’re not dead inside…yet. Gaelyn thought to herself.

Just then, a few meters in front of the Imperial, a small girl was knocked to the ground, sending books flying. Her glasses landed right next to Gaelyn’s foot, and the Imperial picked them up before giving them a quick clean with her shirt-sleeve and handing them back.

“Are you all right?” Gaelyn asked.

Lilly Emily, Talos Plaza District, Morning

The person in question was a dark-ginger haired imperial, she had hazel eye's, she was tall, and had dark bags under he slightly large eyes. She wore a grey shirt along with a hood and black trousers. Emily took the glasses before putting them back on and nodded her head in gratitude,

"Thank you, yes i'm quite fine-"

Lilly interrupted herself by to cough violently and wheezing, she bent over slightly and coughed out crimson liquid.

Alix

Talos District

[1 hour later]

"Dad I'm home! I also brought a guest!"

Still no reply. He must be down in the training room.

Turning back to Freyr, Alix gestured with his hand to the basemant door. "Follow me."

Opening the door, Alix led Freyr into the training area under the house. Reaching the second door, Alix opened it and there he saw his dad, doing hand stand push-ups.

Speaking in Khajiiti, Alix said, "Dad I brought some guests with me."

Ra'jhaara looked at Freyr from his upside down position. Swinging his legs backwards, Ra'jhaara landed on his feet. "I see, Alix. Why is it you brought them here?"

Alix, still speaking in Khajiiti, replied, "Me and Freyr, the Nord, are going to have a sparring match. We're thinking of joining the Arena as combatants, so we need to practice. Is it ok if you watch over our sparring session?"

Looking at the Nord, Ra'jhaara sized him up. Hmmph. The Nord maybe big, but I can tell his strength isn't up to par with Alix's. This is going to be interesting. Looking back at Alix. Ra'jhaara replied, "Of course. Since he's big, don't go easy on him."

Alix smiled and said, "Hahaha, you're funny dad. Don't worry I won't." Turning back to Freyr, Alix said, "Let's begin."

With that, Alix unbuttoned his blue velvet shirt and removed it, revealing a http://alden-tan.com/wp-content/uploads/bruce-lee-09.jpgWalking onto the mat, Alix asked, "Ready to begin?"

"I am ready, Alix."

Freyr was actually surprised at how defined the breton's body was. He could tell that he was a serious opponent. It was clear that speed was not going to be on his side, so Freyr decided that he would need to hold his own, then move to grappling. Then he could use his weight and height against him. Freyr walked towards Alix and started to stretch his arms moving them in a circle formation, and then he stretched his legs one at a time by leaning down to the left until his left leg was crouched and his right leg was extended. He then did the same thing for the other side.

"I can see from before that I may have underestimated you. You can't blame me. But don't take me for a fool. I know a serious competitor when I see one. Lets start!"

Freyr decided that he wanted to test the breton's speed and strength first, so instead of charging straight for him he kept his distance, and sent his strikes forward, using his long arms to try to keep the breton away. To avoid him getting to close to him, he crouched his legs a bit, so that he would more or less be on his level.

Alix waited for Freyr to stretch for a little bit then they both started circling each other. Immediately Freyr started sending in traditional boxing strikes. Almost as if acting in precognition, Alix dodged and blocked each one and sent a lightning fast quick roundhouse towards Freyr's head....

Freyr wasn't prepared for such a quick kick to his head, so all he could do was make his head go with the kick, which caused it to be merely a glancing blow.

"Not bad! I may need to train with you guys and learn this fighting style of yours. It's very interesting to say the least."

Freyr decided to push forward with his strikes, attempting to back Alix to a wall so he could make a grab. Freyr could take a hit, so he decided to give it his all, putting force into his punches that would hurt block. Trying to keep Alix's eyes on his face and his upper body, Freyr quickly moved in and tried delivering his large knee into the Breton's abdomen. He did not expect it to land, so he prepared himself to block a counter strike.

Unfortunately, Freyr was able to make his head go with the kick at the last minute. Damn. After that kick, Freyr kept pushing forward with more strikes and each one become more powerful. Damn he's strong. All of sudden a huge knee hit Alix in the abdomen, but thankfully due his training, his rock hard abs absorbed most of the blow. Immediately Alix countered with a elbow to Freyr's head and at the same time, side stepped to get of Nord's way. As soon as he did so, Alix threw a powerful leg kick right at Freyr's thigh...

Freyr took the elbow to his cheek, and then the leg strike to the thigh. The movement was so quick, that he thought for a second it was done at the same time, but realized it was likely from his brain rattling a bit.

"Ha, I like that. You're quick but you can take a hit too. Good."

Freyr squeezed his fists, which caused his knuckles to crack, and he charged towards Alix, but instead of sending a wild swing in his direction, at the last second he brought his arms in and crouched, and tried sending a strong right jab towards his neck.

I can't merely overpower him if he moves so quickly. I have to play his game. Who would have thought? My mother will never believe I had so much trouble with a manmer...

Alix chuckled, "I was just showcasing my speed. Now, I'll show you my power."

As soon as he got saying so, Alix saw Freyr throw a right jab. Sending energy from the earth into your opponent. Alix dodged the jab at the last second and threw the weight of his hip into a powerful right straight into Freyr's midsection. He's gonna feel that for a while. After throwing the punch, Alix back flipped a few feet away from Freyr, and got into his http://revolutionmagik.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/bruce_lee__s_battle_call_by_a_bb5.png?w=497.

Alix had the air forced from Freyr's gut, and backed up so that he could recuperate. He didn't expect such strength from someone so small.

Alright, screw this. If he can hit that hard then I need to stop trading strikes with him, and grab him. Then I can use my strength and weight on him.

Freyr got close to him, and took a lot of hits while trying to block his strikes. Freyr was bleeding from his lip, but he payed no attention to it. Once Freyr was close enough, Freyr propelled his large body forward in an attempt to spear his shoulder into Alix to knock him down with a tackle.

[censored] he coming closer. Man, he's persistent. I need to end this now!

Alix waited for Freyr to spear his shoulder into his chest, when he did that Alix grabbed the back of Freyr's neck and at the same time tripped his foot and got him on the ground. As they fell, Alix got onto top mount and brought his thumb close to Freyr's neck. This is where the vegas nerve is. If I wanted to, I could've stopped his heart.

Alix still on top of Freyr, said, "I win. If I wanted to, I could've hit your vegas nerve and stopped your heart. That's where my thumb is." Getting off of Freyr, Alix helped him up and continued, "You're one of the best opponents I've faced so far. Good job", Alix said smiling.

Freyr got up, furious that he had been bested. No one's ever beated him in battle, and he wasn't going to let it end like this.

"Again!"

Alix was surprised at Freyr's reaction. He probably hates losing.

"Fine if you want to go agai--"

"No!"

Alix looked to his left and saw his father, Ra'jhaara walk in between him and Freyr. Speaking in Khajiiti, Ra'jhaara addressed his son, "No. I will not let this fight go on. If you haven't noticed, all places you hit him are swelling up. Look at his leg", Alix did and saw a huge purple bruise where he kicked Freyr. "That's enough for today."

Ra'jhaara then addressed the Nord, "Freyr, you're in no condition to fight, if my son were to fight you again, you'd have broken bones all over you're body. You wouldn't want to join the Arena in that condition would you?"

"Then let them break! I am a nord, not some milkdrinker! I will fight until I can't fight anymore...I must get stronger, I must!"

Freyr was so angry from losing to the Breton that he couldn't feel any pain from the strikes. His pride was too wounded to care about such things. If he could, he would fight until he had bested Alix. And then, he'd fight some more.

"Sigh, you Nords are something else. You care more for your pride and honor, than for your well being. In life, you are going to have loses, there's no changing that. I respect your courage Freyr, but you need to heal. Please leave. Once you're in better condition you can come back and spar again. Good day", Ra'jhaara then walked away and went up stairs.

Alix sighed. Freyr is worked up about something. Alix said, "This has to do with Phenix huh. I can tell."

Freyr's face blushed. It was obvious that Alix had hit the nail on the head. Freyr chose to ignore it and change the subject. Freyr took out the pouch of gold he had, and dumped out half the bag into Alix's hands.

"Give this to your father. I will be back tomorrow to train. Forgive me, Alix. You are indeed a strong warrior."

Freyr walked out of the house a few inches shorter, his pride bruised more then his body was. He was determined to get stronger so that he could outdo Alix, and to impress Phenix.

Veric was pulled from his books by the faint sound of a girl screaming. Scanning around his eyes fell upon some boys teasing a young teen. It seems they had knocked her to the ground and Veric watched with disdain as they scurried off like triumphant cowards. He scoffed outwardly and closed his book, then got to his feet with the intention to help the poor girl up. Before he could take a step though he had noticed that another girl had decided to be kind.

This made Veric smile and he watched a few seconds while they conversed, then however he noticed that the first girl had began coughing and it seemed to be fairly violent. Veric's inner humanitarian was scolding him to go see if he could help, but seeing as they were both females his shyness was managing to get the better of him and he stood in place for a few moments while he wrestled with what he should go. Finally Veric slowly walked his way over to the two girls, trying to look as nonchalant, or at the very least, not creepy, as possible. (Kinda also walking slow to give Gaelyn another chance to post before I butt in.)

Freyr Mer-Killer

Market District

After Sparring Alix

Freyr had finally calmed down some after his defeat by Alix, but his face sure didn't show it. He walked near some kids who were hanging by the door into the Market District. One good look at him, and they scattered like flies. Freyr didn't care. He was used to it by now.

He realized he still had a lot to learn if he was going to compete in the Arena. In a way, he was thankful to Alix. He was exactly what Freyr needed. A strong opponent to make himself stronger, and more skilled. He also needed to focus on controlling his anger.

Focus your anger. Calm. Deep breaths.

As Freyr said this to himself, he walked through the door and passed the same Redguard soldier who always gave him trouble.

"Hey, savage. Hows it goin?"

Freyr stopped to make a remark, but walked off instead at the last second.

Ignore him. Stay calm. A warrior needs to keep a calm head.

"Ooh, what's the matter? Judging from those bruises on you I take it someone finally put you in your place? Hahah-oof!"

Freyr spun around and layed a right hook on the man so hard that blood and one of his teeth flew out as he fell to the ground. Freyr took out his coin purse and dumped forty gold on the injured Redguard.

"That should cover my fine."

Change doesn't happen over night afterall.

Freyr made his way back home to get his hunting supplies, and saw that his father was waiting for him by the door. He was out of his armor and had his left shoulder bandaged up.

"Hey, what happened to you, Freyr? I don't think I've ever seen a bruise on you in my life."

"I met someone. He was strong. Don't worry, I'll beat him."

Tolfi grinned before replying. "Good attitude. I didn't think I'd ever see anyone temper your ego."

Freyr sent him a venomous look that said drop it.

"Anyway, about the Arena. I told you not to come. How long have you been watching?"

"As long as we've been here. I was studying you. You got sloppy this time around."

"Heh, as did you." said Tolfi.

"Yea, well...I won't be joining the Arena. Not yet anyway. Not til I learn a few more things from my new friend and his father. He's a B-, nevermind. I also met a girl."

Tolfi smiled at his son, proud that he was finally making friends. "Oh? Who is she?"

Freyr blushed and looked to his feet. "H-her name is Phenix. She's...ravishing. She's got this long blonde hair with these beautiful plump red lips, and her bosom's so-"

"Alright alright, I get it. I think I met your friend today. She looked high class, pretty blue eyes, red fingernails, light blonde hair? Imperial?"

"Yea that's her."

Tolfi relayed the story to Freyr about the incident with her horse, and how Tolfi managed to rescue her from being trampled.

"Well, looks like you have better chances with her than I then, Mr. Hero man. Wait til I tell mom you're off rescuing damsels in distress! See what she says about that! She know you're injured?"

Tolfi swallowed hard and frowned before saying no.

"Well, I won't keep you then. She'll want to know. You better take a break from the Arena."

Tolfi's face wrinkled in anger at the comment. "I-can't. I got a challenge from the Yellow team Hero looking to raise his rank to champion. He must beat me to get the chance to fight the yellow team champion. I must accept it. The odds...are against me, but I boasted, and reaped the consequences. I'll talk about it later."

Freyr took "the odds not being in his favor" to mean that his injury put him in a disadvantage.

"Father you can't fight in this condition, you're not at your best."

"Lets talk about it later. You're late for your hunting. You haven't been messing with K'avar again, have you?"

Freyr thought about the Redguard soldier he just layed out and figured he'd just let Tolfi find out while he was away.

"Yea...me and him are getting along just fine. See you later pa."

Alix Vanne

Talos Disrict, Alix's house

After Sparring Freyr

"If you're thinking of joining the Arena as a combatant, I have a friend on the Yellow team, who might be able to get you in", Ra'jhaara said to Alix. Walking over and handing Alix a bottle of Cyrodiilic brandy, they both sat down.

Alix thought about what his father said. If I join the Yellow team, I might have to duel Freyr one day, at the same time, someone with my skill set would be able to get the Yellow team on a winning streak again. Then there's Phenix. I really want to impress her. Maybe I could ask her out on a date. Thinking about it for a minute Alix replied, "Sure I'll talk to you're friend. What's his name?"

Ra'jhaara smiled and said, "His name is Logar gro Balock. He's an Orc and one of the best fighters on the Yellow team. I believe he is of Hero rank. Go to the Arena tomorrow and ask for him. You'll be pointed in the right direction", taking a swig from his bottle Ra'jhaara got up and headed towards the door. Looking back he said to Alix, "I'm going out for a drink at the tavern. The house is yours till I get back", Ra'jhaara left and shut the door behind him.

What to do? Maybe I could go see Phenix. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Getting up, Alix went upstairs to put on some better attire. I'll show that garden I found. Walking back down the stairs, Alix headed out of the house and went to the Tiber Septim Hotel, where Phenix was staying at. Walking into the inn, Alix asked for Phenix's room. The Hostess pointed him in the right direction and Alix walked up to the door and went inside and waited for Phenix.

Dominic

Imperial City - Temple District

Anyone got a watch? Or a sundial?

The battle in the arena still left Dominic a little tense. He found that the best way to deal with tension after a life-threatening situation was to meditate on the gods. It was a trick his mother taught him. She had been a priest here once, and taught the young Dominic how to worship the Nine Divines. He once considered becoming a priest himself, but took after scholarly pursuits instead. Regardless, his mother taught him piety, a trait that has never left Dominic. It's partially the reason why he hates vampires so much.

Vampires are not the only thing on his list of dislikes, however. Anything unholy is something Dominic will bring his sword against. His main fight is against vampires, but whenever he comes across Daedra worshippers, necromancers, and the like, he slays them all and burns their operations down. He's even crossed the Dark Brotherhood once or twice. Even bandits, who inherently aren't of unholy nature at all, still find themselves at the edge of the sword when he sees them, as he deems them filthy criminals. Such ventures often sidetracked Dominic from his end goal, which is why he makes his "pilgrimage" to the arena every year to remind himself what he's truly fighting against.

When he was done meditating, he left to the All Saints Inn, his favorite place to get some food and drink before he left the city. Dominic walked in, and the bartender, Willet, immediately noticed him.

"Ah, Dominic, long time no see!" Willet said.

"Good to see you too, Willet," Dominic said. He then sat down at the bar table. "I'll have a piece of cooked beef and some wine, please."

"Of course, sir," Willet said.

The only alcohol Dominic ever drank was wine. He felt the other available forms of alcohol were too "crude" for his tastes. He was a refined gentleman, not some mindless barbarian. He often mixed water in with his wine as well to lessen the chance of intoxication. Such trivial habits were common for Dominic.
