Heavy Appreciation Thread

Because he can still use the SMART button to climb over that table.

He can still keep up with you guys because he doesn't die as much as you do.

When the lights are overhead taking potshots he's cutting you all in half with his minigun.

When you're out of buffs and begin to lose hope... IS THAT A HEAVY?! WITH A SYRINGE!?

When you're feeling outnumbered and terrified. He'll be next to you like a big brother to help you defend that objective.

He's there when you need a friend to lean on, encouragement, or a huge badass with a squad automatic weapon.

He may not be able to jump to that ledge but his chaotic frenzy of bullets can reach it just fine.

He's too busy using his huge amount of buffs so that his team will become unstoppable to worry about going up there anyway.

Thank you heavy. We love you.

He may be slow, but like they say - save the best for last.

At a concert, they would be the main attraction, while Lights and Mediums would be the headliners and opening acts.

Me and a friend of mine were saying there needs to be a series a videos in which the lights and heavies have love/hate relationships due to how they compliment/exploit each other's weaknesses. And mediums are just like WTF?

Machinima anyone?

Maybe you could talk to Rooster Teeth about it? If you don't know, they're the makers the Halo machinima series Red vs. Blue.

In words of the original heavy to all the new ones coming from Brink.

His charm is so contagious, vaccines have been created for it

Years ago he built a city out of blocks, today, over 50,000 people live and work there

He's the only one ever to ace a Rorschach test

Operatives have asked him to interrogate them

If he gave you health buffs, they'd last forever, and you'd be invincible

If he were to mail a letter without postage, it would still get there

He taught a horse to check his email

He was once held hostage by Resistance members, now he plays poker with them every Thursday

His blood smells like cologne

Even his enemies have him as their emergency contact

He can speak French, in Russian

He is... The Light :D

Haha had to give the light some credit.

I mean we all know that if a heavy punched you, you would have to resist the strong urge to thank him

Sir... now you're just using chuck norris jokes for the heavy.

No that's not a bear with a machine gun. That's my heavy.

That heavy engineer is so badass he just attaches his mines to his chest to scare the bullets away before they even hit him and charges into battle with his turrets latched to his shoulders and back. (All six of them!)

That heavy medic rivals the healing capabilities of Jesus Christ.

No one else has any weapons because that heavy soldier has them all.

That heavy operative with the minigun sticks out like a sore thumb... but at least he has a professional attitude.

The heavy operative has no need for a hacking device. His silver tongue can turn any enemy into a friend... Even a machine

So in other words, when the game is finally released, you will be dying left and right by a bunch of Crack heads, Teenage girls, and Skinny jean wearing boys. :tops:

lol, the Light fans crack me up....they all think they are untouchable, elite assassins, that couldn't possibly fall victim to a "slow heavy." Well, when I'm dug in like an Alabama tick, laying down fire with my minigun and surrounded by teammates guarding me, we'll see who is more untouchable...

I would tend to agree. Lights are more of a tactical, objective oriented bodytype. Unless you're an uber-pro, heavy would be the way to go if you just want to kill stuff in a way that helps your team.

For everyone who has played TF2 - do you ever see the scout going on a killing spree? not often. The Scout is meant to rush in and take objectives. The heavy is meant to waddle in kill things until the objective is done, then move on to the next objective.

lol, the heavy fans crack me up.... they all think they are untouchable, because they have bigger weapons. They also all think they have this super-mega-ultra health bar, and that no one will be able to kill them.
LOL well, we will just have to wait for the release to find out, now wont we?

I beg to differ, I once got a domination on a heavy as a scout (I guess I was lucky).
Generally though, If you play scout right, he can get a lot of kills, then cap the objective, then get more kills.

These are more isolated incidents, rather than the norm. Yes, it can happen, but you don't normally see Scouts racking up killstreaks left and right. The Heavy on the other hand, even if not racking up tons of kills, is at least keeping the enemy at bay. Also, in TF2 what makes the Heavy even more effective, is 90% of time, they have a Medic attached to them - It wouldn't surprise me to see the same sort of behavior in Brink - medics healing them, soldiers shielding them, etc.

Don't forget. TF2 has also changed A LOT over the original release. there are many weapons now that can be more useful for scout against heavy.

Not really, the F.A.N knocks the heavy back, which isn't gonna help, and the shortstop slows him down for a couple seconds, not gonna help.
The best way to kill a heavy, is to constantly be on the move taking shots at him (obviously killing the medic first) until he drops, and thats true killing the other classes, use speed to the advantage.

I don't think that's gonna work in brink, however since lights don't get a speed bonus.
