Hello, when I play Skyrim without armor and with a shield, I am challenged about the right amount on Adept.

When I put Heavy Armor on, I find the game is way too easy. I would like to lower my armor rating so I can enjoy looting it and wearing it.

Does anyone know if there's a mod that I could use that will do this without nerfing NPC armor?

I forgot how much I loved using it up until a recent Character Build. I really hope I can find something, it would definitely help with freshening up the game for me.

PS I am wondering if there is a 'darker dungeon' mod that stands out above others.

Creepy Dungeons has been a big improvement, but not long ago I read that it's not the best.

Try a higher difficulty.

That would work if it didn't make the Mages a huge pita. I used to play the higher levels just for better melee combat, but those mages really got under my skin. Nerd raging occurred many times.
