I came across Ponty's Arcane Bladesman ( http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/forum/topics/character-build-the-magicka-warrior?groupUrl=character-building&groupId=6452022%3AGroup%3A48137&id=6452022%3ATopic%3A123812&page=13 ) build over at The Skyrim Blog and found it to be a potentially amazingly fun build to play, but I needed to tweak it just a bit to suit my playstyle. I wanted to eliminate the need for the Alteration tree, added Heavy Armor, and went with summoning Atronachs over Necromancy. Also added in some Smithing and Alchemy.

Not my type of character, but Skyrim's a single player game so have fun!
