Heavy Operatives

Post » Sat Jan 29, 2011 3:58 am

I know light operatives will be able to sneak around and get behind enemy lines easier but, in a video they said operatives could take the appearance of any enemy no matter what body type. So if you light and you change to a heavy people would wonder if they see you climb over anything higher than your waist but, if your heavy you can just walk around freely without worrying about where you go or what you climb over. I don't know its just a thought.

I'm sure if you're a heavy op and you take the guise of a light, you cannot do his tricks because you're really heavy......

I know thats why no one would think about it if you look heavy and you climb an eye level wall ( if you were light disguised as heavy) then people would be suspicious but if your heavy and look light people would not think any thing about it if you climb over something waist high

Actually, you would be suspicious. Like "why arent you running around and going over super high walls like most lights".......odd behavior can lead to death.

If I saw suspicious behavior on my team, i'd fire a small burst. If it doesn't show a friendly fire symbol, i'll kill him flat out......

Some people will definately go for the challenge of mixing up body types and primary classes. A Light Soldier probably won't be NEARLY as successful as a Heavy Operative, but I'm sure we'll see Light Medics and Heavy Engineers too. You'd think you'd want Medics to be more durable and support the other tough Soldiers, or that Engineers should be able to get their turrets to good vantage points or something, but I'm willing to bet there will be those who just want to see how successful they can get by defying the usual/suggested matches.

I'm a light medic because I need to be able to get to downed people fast and get out faster. Also, I like guerrilla warefare tactics......

wonder how a light soldier would fare

Use the attach to person ability and die two seconds later.......

I agree my main classes will most likely be light for hit and run tactics but I want to try having each body type with each class but I still will have balanced characters for even play so i can swap classes in the middle of a game of the objective and not svck

Or if your helping a light Operative (like Wraith, maybe Shadow) get behind the lines and open a shorcut.......

I'm a light medic because I need to be able to get to downed people fast and get out faster.

An excellent tactical idea.

As stated in my sig, I plan on running a Medium Operative for a few reasons:
1) I don't think I need to climb up and over a full story of stuff; once I learn the area I'll figure out creative ways to use SMART to get me where I need to go.
2) Having low health would irritate me: I'd like to be able to take some punishment in a straight fight
3) I'd like to be able to at least have the option to use heavier (meaning medium) weapons if I want to.

I'm fairly certain that with the right abilities and some amount of creativity I can make a Medium Operative (presumably a role suggested for Lights) a very successful character.
