Oh heck, not again...

He could play a tired old worn out Deckard whoes still on the run from other Bladerunners and/or police out to get him, and Rachel's fate is unknown.
That's one way it could have been... but there is another to consider.

Aren't they making a Red Dawn Remake?

And a New Conan Movie too? I loved Conan the Destroyer, despite how cheesy it was, and I sill need to see Conan the Barbarian. Hopefully, though, the new movie will be good.

Oh man The Destroyer has nothing on The Barbarian. The Destroyer is a campy PG version. It's fun but not the same, and the soundtrack is similar but more upbeat. The Barbarian is bloody and sophisticated - the soundtrack tells the story rather than dialogue, and what dialogue there is is often pretty serious, like Thulsa Doom's various speeches. At the time it was brilliant - they got Darth Vader to play the villain.

I recommend you rent it as soon as you can. It's easily the best sword-and-sorcery flick ever made. Then come back here and tell us what you thought :)

Slightly off-topic, but http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-03-10-doom-film-reboot-green-lit-report?! Why?! :banghead:

Well, it can't be as bad as the first one. Can it? :obliviongate:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2011/03/03/blade-runner-sequels-and-prequels-are-on-the-way/

At first I thought Ridley Scott was desperate enough to re-tread old ground (something I'd not have expected), but then I read the article and I see what looks like the same interview I read for the Hitchhiker's Guide and Transformers ~different guys same awful intentions. Tron2 made money, so now we get a Blade Runner2 followup. :(

Based on Hitchhiker and Tron:Legacy as a reference what Hollywood makes these days, I am not at all looking forward to this if it gets off the ground.

I never saw Tron: Legacy and have no intention to watch it either, although I did buy the soundtrack because the short but excellent snippets I heard from trailers and whatnot :P In any case, if they make a new Blade Runner I will be sure to avoid that one too. There's a new Total Recall coming too, and I will avoid that one too :P

The 80's were dreadful , but they had a few good gems come out of them.

My concern is that these days all you usually get is a formula McAction flick ~of the kind parodied in films that show people watching a film... Come to think of it... (terrible movie too) Last Action Hero.

I rather like Last Action Hero (and Hudson Hawk for that matter). Action movies that really doesn't take themselves seriously at all ^_^
