Description:
=================

This is a unique exterior home built of hedges to blend in with the surrounding countryside. It is an oasis for magic users and adventurers alike, far out of the way and built in an enchanted glade.

----------

Many years ago, a powerful Hedge Wizard wandered the hills and valleys of Cyrodiil looking for a place to make his home. Following the Panther River, he felt the pull of some deep earth magicks calling to him. His search led him to a range of mountains at the eastern edge of the country. He passed silently by a cavern redolent with the smell of rotting leaves and darker things and up into the hills beyond it.

Higher and higher he climbed, the magicks pulling him with whispers of power and peace until finally he stumbled, exhausted, into a glade. Wisps of magic danced through the air almost as if greeting him. Knowing he had found his place to rest, he followed the half heard sounds in his head, weaving his arms in intricate spells, words he did not know, asking the earth Magicks to come to his aid.

Time passed unseen by the Hedge Wizard as the magicks wove around him. He opened his eyes finally, feeling the magic settle once more and breathed an amused laugh. Great hedges had pulled themselves from the earth to form a home for him. As he entered the filigreed iron gate the sprite he had seen earlier swirled about him before flitting off to investigate. Here was a peaceful place to rest in his travels, one with nature and the magicks of the earth.

Details:
=================

Hedge Home can be found Far east of Bravil up the Panther River, Due east of Leafrot Cave. The curious may find a special hedge within the home that leads to a hidden Grotto.
Also in the grotto, there are two spots on the hedge in front of the waterfalls where you can sit but you must find them.

This home was inspired by my good friend JacktheHedge.

This is a little review that I wrote a few minutes after release, this is the best player home I've ever seen.....

The thing that took the longest was finding the thing! The poem was great, and it was great to figure out. The home is beautiful, with a lighting and color scheme that's majestic and mysterious..... But at the same time welcoming. I love the extra bit added by the green cups and such, it's unique like that. The grotto is my favorite, mostly because of the controlled lighting. The only criticism is something that's the game's fault: the lighting in the exterior (because it is an exterior) is a bit sterile, but you made up for that with using so many greens, they add a richness to the environment, dispite the white glow coming from the OB sky....... Amazing. My favorite house, period. now I REALLY need to check out your other work......

You really take this 'hedge' business seriously, don't you? :lol:

That screenie of the rounded entryways receding into the distance is amazing. I adore house mods that feature greenery prominently (Korana's Ascadian Rose Cottage for Morrowind, Khettienna's Ivy Cottage for Oblivion, etc) and I also have a special fondness for exterior house mods so I guess I'm kind of like a target audience for this mod.

I can't speak for anybody else but Hedge Home is most definitely finding a place in my mod list. Thank you very much and congratulations on a job well done. I can't wait to get a character in there and check it out!

What a n atmosphere,

The ground textures are vanilla though, right?
They seam a bit smudgy to me.

The exterior reminds me of the House Hlaalu stronghold that you can build on the Odai Plateau - only greener. It looks really good.

The screenshots look lovely! I'm hoping to be able to check it out ingame soon. It looks to be one of the more unique homes of recent times. Just the kind of stuff I like.

Just spent some time in it and it's as good as the pix show. I'm not crazy about the Masters Alchemy equipment and some of the goodies but I can ignore them. It's still a great house.

BTW to CoolShady: the link in your sig seems to be broken. How could I check out your mod?

La la la bump!

So, I'm working on adding a couple scripts to stop the weather inside the hedge. :D With a little help from some wonderful scripters over on TESA. :foodndrink: Once I get it working properly I'll upload a new esp as an update. Those that want it will be able to just overwrite the original.

And another bump! More people need to see this awesome home. I can't believe this thread doesn't have more posts! :D

This is seriously one of the most unique and lovely houses I've had in my game. I'm certainly honored to have had something so beautiful inspired by me. :wub:

Just wondering, but what's the key for? The place isn't locked in any way.
Also, I found a orc barbarian sleeping in the bed one night when I came home. Thought it was kinda funny.

LOL The key opens the secret hedge wall leading to the Grotto hidden beneath Hedge Home. :shifty: Check the wall behind the bed, just to the right of it.

No idear about your Orc barbarian. :lmao: There was only one vanilla monster spawn next to the home when I built it and I moved that. May be from another mod, MMM, OOO, FCOM or something I should think. Next time get a screenie and share! :P
