I did the Thieves quest and killed that Mage in the tower (Fathis or whatever) and now I am kicked out of Mages Guild. I was Archmage etc and I get no respect.

Been locked out of Arcane and I want to abuse that (though I can still go into the Archmage quarters with my key).

Can I like get back in? I got an active quest for that now.

Yes, speak to Raminus, I think. You should get a quest to retrieve 20 herbs. There is a glitch - it reads like you need to collect 20 each of two different kinds of plant. Actually you just need to collect twenty of one or the other.
