Hello, Elder Scrolls virgin here..

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 8:10 pm

Hello all this is my first post as title says I am a Elder Scrolls virgin and I am really enjoying this game Lvl 26 ranger (wood elf) and was wondering about a few things.
1ST thing is dmg modifiers.. for instance if I have a helm which has 20% bow dmg and bracers which have 30% bow dmg do they stack and if so would it be 50%, same with magic resistant items fire /cold etc ? Just wondering if they stack.
On another note what a fantastic game very immersive, amazing sound list goes on really.

Yes, damage bonuses like those do stack. You could have a ring for 50% fire resistance and boots and bracers with 25% each, and the three would stack for 100% fire resistance.

Welcome! Just a tip, if you powerlevel your smithing, alchemy and enchantment, you'll make every NPC in the game explode with sheer jealous rage. Or not.

Kudos on being a ranger though, I couldn't hit a barn door at 10 paces with a bow and arrow LOL. I struggle to hit a dragon and they are HUGE. :shakehead:

Welcome to the Elder Scrolls! Darn it, we're supposed to give a Fishy Stick to new people but I can't seem to find one...

As long as this thread is here, does anybody know if you can go above 100% with enchantments?

Welcome to the Elder Scrolls, OP!

Now where did I leave that sweetroll?

guard: whats is it? somebody steal you sweetroll?

are there still resist magicka enchantments? if so they dont stack with other resists i think (resist magicka is checked then frost, so if you have 50% resist magicka and 50% resist frost you will resist 75% of the damage form frost spells), thats how it was done in oblivion

Hehe thanks for quick replys, @Bieltan I won`t powerlevel (or glitch) my way I just checked my steam game time and it says 79 hours :/ so I think you can tell I have been admiring the views :), again thank you all for replys so quickly, I find the bow very easy to use (first person) managed to kill a dragon before it landed one time , luck more than judgement tho.

Classic!

BTW my wife was so inspired by the fact you can cook in-game that she made us a Skyrim meal the night it came out. Salmon steak, buttered bread and...(wait for it)...sweetrolls!

By the Nine I love that woman!
