Hello friends, GOTY Steam user, game crashes instantly after

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 12:28 am

I have the GOTY off of Steam, I have used it vanilla style for years... I then started to alter it with Mods....

Then I started to alter it with mega mods such as OOO / alternate start / blood and mudd..so on..so..forth

Had to probably reinstall a good 10 times due to issues coming up with crashing or related severe issues...

Welll, it has been idle for some time now uninstalled, I decided to reinstall it...

I test run it before any mods get placed. It doesnt work...

crashes as soon as i hit Play Oblivion off the loader...

No mods, No patches, except for the steam auto update. Never had a problem dry running Oblivion now this is second time I can not load up from load menu...

Is there a known problem going around that I can sync up with to fix this?

Does anyone know why the game would crash immediately from the load play?

I would thank you all very much in advance for any information on the whereabouts of my churro... err how to get this game working

.................................................

I am noticing for the first time....

It is showing :

(DLC) Shivering Isles.esp

(DLC) Knights of 9

Oblivion.esm

usually if i am not mistaken it had been Oblivion.esm and Oblivion.esp with (DLC) Knights.

A wild card variable, yet I still have no idea about what it means.

Did you delete your old Oblivion.ini when you reinstalled? (You should, if you didn't.)
