Thanks

It adds almost all weapon mods to the game so if you like heavy loot that's the one to go for.
Just my opinion, but it adds too much for my tastes.
I use http://http://morrowind4kids.com/pseronwyrd/files/FarrpsMods/Weapon%20Compilation%20Mod.zip plus http://http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=924 and the combo I think works very well without loot lying in every crate you open.
As for being problematical, there's a few weapons without meshes but these are few and far between.

It's pretty good, but it's biggest issue is balancing/immersion breaking.

A lot of the weapons and armor are simply NOT priced according to how much AC they give/damage they do. (Saviours Hide Glove AC 75 costs 100 gold)
Some names are weird/not cleaned up (Ex. "Barbarians Helm 3 ")
There are duplicates of some artifacts since this put's all of Hedgehog's work in, so there's (from what I've found) 3 different models for the Bloodworm helm, and all three are in game and are named Bloodworm Helm 1, 2, ect.

HELLUVA Books has immersion/lore issues as well. Some books are...frankly just silly.

It is SOMEWHAT of an issue as the above poster said of having loot everywhere. For me it's not a problem because I have a couple economy mods that DRASTICALLY reduce the ease of obtaining gold, so finding crates with 6-7 weapons is actually pretty nice for me.

All the flaws aside I do love these mods and wouldn't play without them. :)

It's also fairly outdated at the moment. I've upgraded all the books in http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=203415&id=5782 and added some new ones. Also, some of them are intentionally silly, but they are all lore friendly. ;)

I saw that one the other day, but I already have Book Jackets installed, and I assumed they'd conflict.

Don't include Book Jackets in your Merged Objects and Mashed lists and load BJ after both and you'll be fine.

It won't conflict at all. I just made my own covers to make them as pretty as book jackets. So they'll stand out and look nicer than the game books if you're not using BJ, but will fit right in if you are. I didn't alter any original game content at all.

Sandman101's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=117565&id=6650 completion set is a must have IMHO.

I also prefer fliggerty's.
A personal thing, but I just don't like the domina mesh most female armours HELLUVA uses.

uuu guys!
I've installed the Weapon Compilation but i guess I'm having some little problems:
1) When I go to the Seyda Neen Census bla bla I actually don't get any message..
2) I've taken a look to the crates in Balmora and I haven't found anything...is it normal?
3) Now I'm in Firemoth so I don't expect to get the weapons there but I thought that they were in the random loot, aren't they?
Thanks

P.S: Yes, I've already merged the stuff with testools (I clicked on "merge leveled lists" and "merge object", is it right?)

If you are running a mod that alters the Census door in any way (chargen or alternate start mod, for example) you will have to start Weapon Compilation mod via the console.

Ahh. You should have used Wicked Weapons instead. Not Faarp.

Not only does it add about 15 times more weapons, but for the most part they're rather balanced.
I do say that Faarp is nice, but really, you should give Wicked Weapons a big college try.

Plus, no complicated scripts on weapons to activate special powers by sneaking. I'm looking at you, faarp.

The only really big problem with Wicked Weapons is that you have to deal with the occasional skeleton archer equiped with the ebony arrows of slaying. :)
That could be bad.

HELLUVA Books has immersion/lore issues as well. Some books are...frankly just silly.

I haven't tried books, but to be honest, Lore is not everything. An argument against something because it's against Lore is immediately invalid because not everyone enjoys Lore. :)

That just isn't true, it is valid, it's his opinion on it, and a lot of people do enjoy lore, and those that don't will just ignore that comment anyway. <_<
I could say that the argument against using the Helluva armor because it uses the domina sets is immediately invalid because not everyone dislikes the domina armor. That isn't true either.

I don't like downloading mods that are against lore, so that comment is valid for me, because now I don't have to download the mod to find out.

I'm not a huge fan of the helluva sets myself, because I dislike most of the things included, and the unbalancing loot. It's down to personal taste mainly though. You might as well give it a go, unless there's something stopping you. :)

I believe FAARP comes with an optional .esp that doesn't have the scripted weapons. :)

how can I start it via console?

I'm sorry, I don't have Morrowind installed so I can't look up the script. Maybe somebody else can answer that.

As far as the Helluva mod goes, I felt that the mod flooded my game with too many weapons. In addition, the quality of the weapons varied dramatically from excellent to amateurish. The author did not bother to change any of the original stats of the weapons so some of the weapons have incredibly out-of-balance Health, Speed and Reach stats.

I prefer the more tasteful way that Weapon Compilation mod and Assassin's Armory add weapons into the world. The quality of weapons found in those mods is more uniform also.

Well, I guess you're right. I never thought of it that way. I don't like the unbalanced weapons myself, but I'm not going to let that particular thing completely turn me away from the mod. Same with lore.

I suppose, just like realism, lore friendly isn't for everyone. :)
It was not my intention to get this topic into a quagmire.

I just personally love the HELLUVA weapons mod, and won't stop playing it just because of some semi-schitzophrenic weapon stats. The blade of quick death not withstanding (Which lives up to it's name)..Also, Sting is so way too slow compared to the sting from LOTR. :)

I agree that the style of the weapons are in a huge range. However, I don't see any really horribly bad designed weapons. Are people trying to say I can make a better weapon? :)

Yes I didn't choose Wicked weapons because of the too huge variety of weapons, I think Farrp will be more concentrate...if I find a way to make it work...

another thing, do you say that in the random loot of Tamriel Rebuilt I will find the same loot of vvardenfell and so the weapons of the compilation?

Well, to each his own. :)
But yeah, the loot should be the same. Don't quote me on it, TR conflicts with too many of my favorite mods to use it.

Yeah it's a bit of a mixed bag. I've got Helluva in my non-lore install. I actually went through and deleted the weapons that I thought looked poor which took a bit of time. I dunno what's with my game but I don't get that flooded with gear. Maybe spend some time looking at the gear in the construction set so you can see what you're in for.

I'm unaware of a console command but to be certain the mod has activated revisit Selus Gravius and ensure to exit again through the main door to Seyda Neen.
You wont receive an activation message, but the mod will now be active.
DavidB111 sounds a little bias against faarp's mod.
He perhaps forgets all of faarp's weapons can be found in the HELLUVA weapons compilation.
He's correct in stating you will find some of faarp's MODELS in TR, but only models. The weapons carry new names with different stats, and by no means are they all included.
There's some really nice surprises in store, none of them uber or lore breaking.

Go get 'em and have some fun doing it. :toughninja:

I'm hardly biased. I'm only biased against people and things that don't want me to have fun.
It's just been years since I played FAARP, and to be honest, I forgot that H.E.L.L.U.V.A had his weapons in it.

I also don't see why you wouldn't find FAARP weapons in TR random loot containers. The only way you wouldn't is if the TR uses it's own loot lists and does not touch the vanilla loot lists at all.

Heck, I'm not certain how FAARP works any more. It's been too long.

Sure there may be some uber-weapons in H.E.L.L.U.V.A, and some lore breaking weapons, the Remus gun springs to mind, but they don't have strange scripting on them that activates when you hit the sneak key. :)

And Plus, Helluva doesn't require any special start up scripting to start the mod running like FAARP. So, yeah, sue me for enjoying less complications...:)

I really don't see the big deal over having so many weapons to choose from anyway. Just throw away the ones you don't want, or drop them down on the floor, they are not going to go away.
Shikishima, we need to talk.
