Am doing the quest "A chance arrangement" for the thieves guild

Bryjolf wants me to steal some ring from a booth

The only thing is that this Khajiit called Shavari keeps following me and staring at me and I cant lose her. I tried to sprint around Riften but whenever I look back she is still there. I can't sneak or steal the ring because she will be there, staring at me. Was following http://www.rarityguide.com/articles/articles/1015/1/Skyrim-Walkthrough-Thieves-Guild---A-Chance-Arrangement/Page1.html but there is no mention of her in there. What the hell is going on. how can I get rid of her without getting arrested or having a bounty put on my head.

Will she follow you out of town? If so, just kill her in the woods or in a cave or something.

edit: If you're on PC you could console kill her and and resurrect her to get the quest done, and potentially fix the AI bug.

did you talk to her? maybe she has a quest? And be more sneaky...

I had to do that quest too for the main quest cause I needed some information from Bryjolf and he wouldn't give it to me without first doing that job for him. It was difficult for me cause I skilled my character as a pure warrior and sneaking, lockpicking and pickpocketing was not on my list of skills to improve.

I did have a potion of brief invisibility on me (20 seconds invisbility) so I used that to lockpick the chest under the booth. Before I used that potion that Khajiit women was following me too and sounded the alarm every time. No idea why.

If you don't have such a potion, you can as well try to walk to a quiet corner in Riften and see if the Khajiit is following you. Then, when nobody sees you, "take care" of her and then go back to Bryjolf to start his diversion. Not sure if that works, but it might.

when I leave town she doesnt follow, however when I come back in she is still there

When I talk to her she tells me that if I know whats good for me I had better leave. There is no dialog and no quest

If I reload a previous save and restart the quest, she shows up again.

sounds like you made her angry...

She likes you! Buy her flowers or something

It might be the person you just robbed for the quest. The quest could prevent her from actually reporting you but not following you around and being mad at you.

Yeah...as I recall I killed her during MQ. Saying no more unless you want to know though

thats the thing, I havent robbed anyone yet. I can't because she keeps trailing me. And she is not even the person I"m supposed to rob from

She is part of the main storyline.
Not going to spoil it though.

But try to drag a bucket over her head, she can't see you then.
(and yes I'm serious about the buckets )
