I cant seem to find the option for building a gate at my settlements. What am I missing? Or where is the option?

I already have 1 rank in Local Leader if that helps.

Mh, I didn't even need the Local Leader perk.

If you go into building Structures - Wood - Fences you should find a big nice wooden gate.

The very first junk fence option is a gate that opens and closes.
