HELP! Can't use my christmas gift! Fallout 4 does not launch : Fallout 4

hello everyone,

So I got for Christmas fallout 4 with the pip boy and the vault dwellers guide. Awesome gift right? Well i can't get it to launch and i have been digging on search engines to try and find the problem and i can't get anywhere. i have tried a ton of stuff and I keep on getting nowhere.

I have updated the Video Card Drivers, checked for windows updates, checked the cache integrity inside of steam, ran the launcher as administrator, ran it windowed borderless at various screen resolutions, ran it in windows safe mode, etc, etc etc.. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it I have already emailed Bethesda and havent heard back so I am hoping someone in here could be kind enough to help! Thank you in advance for your time!

It might help if you add some more information.

What exactly happens when you try to launch it?

What is your install path?

Do you use any other Steam games successfully?

Except for an unreasoning personal bias against HP, I don't see any problem areas in your configuration. Being HP, I would run a memory test overnight.

Also, in administrator window, run sfc /scannow.

Sorry about that.

If i click on the game inside steam i get the little circle/blue wheel spinning on the mouse icon for about 5 seconds and then it goes away. Nothing launches.

If I click on the fallout4launcher I get a graphic that gives me the option to play, options, support, exit. When i click on play the same thing happends, i get the little circle/blue wheel spinning on the mouse icon and then it goes away.

I have other steam games like Team Fortress 2, Half LIfe 2, Five Nights at Freddy's, PayDay 2, Garrys mod, Xcom, etc. This is the only game that gives me problems and does not launch

Delete (rename) the .ini files in the documents/My Games/Fallout4 directory. Fallout should recreate those.

If your steam install directory is in the program files tree, you might have to set both Windows 7 compatibility mode and run as administrator

on the Fallout4.exe. as well as the launcher.
