Help! Capt. Ironside is down!

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 5:51 pm

So when I took my first ride on a Vertibird we past over a sailing ship stuck on a building. Thanks to my power armor helmet that highlights enemy targets I noticed a sentry bot rolling around. I thought it might have fired at us so I opened up on it with the mini gun. I didn't even think I killed it but I just found the ship and decided to check it out. The lookout followed me around but would not talk and when I got on deck I found poor Capt. Ironsides a pile of scrap metal on the ground. 8( Is there any other way to do this quest? I'm guessing no but thought I would try asking if anyone knows a workaround. I'm on Xbox 1. Thanks.

Next time use your V.A.T.S. to identify your targets , enemies and neutral NPCs have different colors, if you can't because you're unable to activate vats , (like this time you were on the vertibird) don't kill it .

Thankfully i can never see [censored] when flying in a vertibird so i dont even use the minigun. Welp, you'll have to re-do the quest in your next playthrough.

The Brotherhood don't take innocent lifes. Make sure before you fire, ever.

I check with V.A.T.S. every time if I can't recognize the target. Diamond City Security, random Settlers, fellows BoS and random vendors. Think before you fire.

By the way, reload a previous file. Or wait for the mods came to consoles, and try, in some manner, to bring Capt. Ironsides back to life.

" Ensure you get the settler's harvest, one way or another. " Not accurate quoting of Proctor Teagan but he does say to ensure the crops one way or another, so Bos would probably take something away even violently if the situation demanded it. They're not as good as they seem.

If you're on that door gun then rock and roll! Git some! Git some! Git some, yeah, yeah, yeah! Anyone who runs, is a Raider. Anyone who stands still, is a well-disciplined Gunner! If it's their women and children, just don't lead them as much!

I killed them all willingly, because reasons.

Wasn't till later that I found out I missed out on the broadsider. Figured ah [censored] it, I'm not running with heavy guns anyway.

It's not just the Broadsider, that side quest is one of the most fun in the game. Seeing the USS Constitution soar into the sky is a thing of beauty!

By the way, Mr. Navigator is the worst navigator ever.

Technically, refusing to cooperate with the faction that is sending numerous soldiers and vertibirds (lots of vertibirds) to keep the Commonwealth a safer place doesn't make the guy too innocent.

After Skyrim you should see this as a very, VERY good thing. One of the many things that shows Bethesda actually listens to it's fans from time to time.

You monster, Ironsides is one of the best npcs in the game.

I rode the vertibird but didn't' shoot at anyone that I couldn't identify properly. Cuz it might be a friendly.

Even when it meant I didn't get to have the thrill of firing a minigun with infinite ammo, so be it.

We all know why Danse is a special snowflake. He doesn't speak for the real FO4 BoS.

Teagan seems a lot more like Maxson than Danse does. Besides, I love killing the BoS. It's just a shame that I can't carry all of these damn Power Armour suits when I wipe out a full patrol of 6.
