My PC was bought from cyberpower.
about 6months later i was gonna upgrade/buy new ram modules, so i phoned up cyberpower technical support for advice. and all i got was bull.
they said "your new ram modules need to be by the same make and they need to be same size as your other ones" lmao. hell no. i had at the time 2x2GB i then bought a further 2x4GB and no bad things happened since(same clock speed of course).
Now it comes to the gpu and motherboard.
I currently have 1 5770 and im looking to get another for crossfire.
I asked cyberpower again and they said.
Your first slot is x16 and second is
x8 but your gpu is not fast enough to go past the x8 benchmark so you WILL see an improvement in crossfire. ( even though the specs of the card is 2.1 x16 )
but then when i look on the manual of my motherboard it says first slot x16
second is x4
Clear my confusion please. what is right and whats wrong?
motherboard: (GA)PH67-UD3-B3
GPU: Ati 5770 1GB GDDR5
Btw. My PSU is sufficient enough just incase any of u wanted to know
