HELP! Constant CTDs!

Hey yall...

Well, i am back to trying to play Fallout after several years away, and REALLY want to use all these supported and suggested mods (FWE, MMM, Fellout, etc etc). However, after loading everything up i am crashing to disk constantly out in the wasteland. Everything was fine in Megaton and for the first few hours of playing, but the CTDs started when i went on the landmine quest for Moria. Got about halfway and every time i saved i (or try to fast travel) get a CTD. So, i went back to a previous save and went a different route to the landmine town. Just walking along, CTD again. ARGH! After reading some in the forums, i decided to try and go back to a previous save in Megaton and go inside a house and wait for three days, then went back out into the wasteland and this time i got a CTD within 5 minutes in the middle of a firefight.

I followed EXACTLY the instructions given in the 4 youtube videos that are on the following main FWE nexus link...

I followed the instructions also in each other mod like the NMC texture pack (using the 3rd level of textures) and in things like Fellout and enchanced weather. I have seen some others saying that the NMC textures could be causing the CTDs maybe. Not even sure how to fix this if that is the problem.

I need help. Really want to play this game with these mods dang it, what i am doing wrong?!

if you are using EVE .97 that may be causing a crash since it's not currently compatible with EVE 6.03. also since fellout changes the same things as most weather mods, it's incompatible with most of them. also have you done a Master Update with FO3Edit? and if none of those things work you may just be running out of memory due to NMC's textures. you'll probably want to install the performance tetures with lowres bumpmaps.

Used EVE .96 not .97 per the forum suggestions.

Not sure what a 'Master Update with FO3Edit is???

Also, used the 3rd level of NMC textures, not the two super great computer needed ones...i am thinking it might be the textures though...not even sure how to re-install them...

I did a 'merged patch' if that is what a master update with FO3Edit is. I used the videos from FWE to help me figure out how to do the merged patch and it said it was successful.

No a master update is an altogether different operation!

Which you should run after every mod change!
