Help me create a Nirn globe in 3D

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:54 pm

I'm planing to create a Nirn globe in 3D using Blender similar to the one in this page:

http://www.imperial-library.info/maps/maps_tamriel.shtml

Could you help me by suggesting the most likely longitude and latitude coordinates for the edges of this map?

You'd only get far enough to map Tamriel. We dont know what Akavir, Pyandonea (sp?), Atmora, and Yokuda look like.

If you use the longitude and latitude scales on the http://www.imperial-library.info/maps/West-CentralTamriel3.bmp you end up with something like http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/Proweler/Lore/adan_globe.jpg.

This is a first version of the texture used to wrap the globe, only to explore the best position where to put all continents. I disregarded the longitude 0 coordinate and put in somewhere bellow tamriel. The size and locations of other continents is a complete guess work based on pictures from other fans.

It's impossible since we have almost no maps of the other continents plus there also might be continents beyond those....
