Help Creating A Custom Bed

Post » Sun Jun 19, 2016 11:14 am

I have looked a lot of places and can not find the info I am looking for. I am trying to make a non-bed object, in this case an altar, into a bed using my own model. I have done the following:

1. I created an activator with the model I am using

2. I found and included a LayDownMarker

3. I created a named script for the activator

Thats as far as I get...

I know I have to create a script that ties the marker to the activator but I have no idea what the script should be or if there are additional steps. I want the script to allow both NPCs and the PC to use the bed.

Any help would be really helpful.

Thanks for the response.

I will have to research how to do that. Not sure how to:

1. Check an existing bed as a marker

2. Put the reference onto my altar

Ill look a little more....any additional info or a step-by-step tutorial that may be out there would be great.

Thanks!

What I do when wanting to recreate something is just open it up in CK. Using Edit. I get to see everything attached to whatever it is. And since I screenshot the entirety, and don't save, nothing is affected.

I cant remember it perfectly, but that checkbox shoul be under edit in object window not in render window.

It just makes bed invisible, bud player (and npcs) should be able to use it, so you have to place bed marker into(over, at same place I dont know right expression), so when character uses the bed he wouldnt lie in the air but on altar

The .nif used as a bed needs the furniture markers included in it. I made my new beds by replacing the bed mesh in a bed .nif, retaining all the other blocks, as you need collision etc. to make it all work.
