HELP! don't want reduced backward running speed

Please help! I've recently returned to the OB scene and, after installing fcom and other mods, i saw that my character had this slow motion backward running (ridiculous that my running backwards is actually slower than WALKING backwards). Also, after a while i noticed my speed attribute becoming less and less and now stands at -47 (-147).

i really didnt want reduced backward running since i much prefer Duke Patrick's running backward risk thing (and without backwards running , playing with DP's combat mods is asking for pawnage) and i dont know what mod caused this. So please help me:

1) identify the mod that does this (load list below - sorry i dont know how else to post the long list) and how to remove the feature (not the mod, if at all possible); OR
2) any other way of removing such a feature.

It's included in Francesco's, but there is a file to remove it on the TESNexus page with all the Frans patches (No Mobs running limit, or similar name)

It was included in OMOBS Optional Combats Settings, I think, but was removed. I don't know if the version you have is the one with it removed.

You'll be getting a double effect from it, so you should fix both and just use DPs.

The web site you got that from has been told to remove it numerous times because they are hurting players games by allowing players to down load it. Duke Patrick's SCA style combat NO RECOIL Silver Edition 5p1.esp needs to be removed, or risk other issues, its up to you...

Also, be sure you turn off backwards "slow down feature" in the INI file for the Duke Patrick's Combat Archery mod.

Hey Duke, thanks for the reply! i actually got your SCA combat mod a long time ago, (before you took it down from nexus?). didnt realize it was buggy. anywhere i could get a replacement/updated version for it? dont really want to play OB without it.

Also, BOSS says your old script effect silencer should be updated. do i still need to get it? and where?

Sorry for the numerous questions but you can tell your mods are a must have for me...:)

thanks for the reply but the link you posted refers to DP's Combat ARCHERY mod. i was looking for his MELEE mod since he said the one im using is outdated. :) you wouldnt happen to know where that is would you?

No more SCA Combat mod? I'm really sorry to hear that. :( But you're the boss and what you say goes. :) But like i asked on your Combat archery thread, how would melee combat fare without ur melee mod alongside it? From previous experience though, i don't much like OB without your mods Duke, and if i cant get a more updated version, I'll brave the old one (like i did before with no real issues actually), or stop playing entirely. :) Unfortunate, since it took me days (!) to install OB with the mods.

Anyway, thanks for the replies! I'll try and fiddle around with it for now and see what could work.

Well, Im a bit disappointed that no one else has more advice.

But i tried the above, found out that it was OMOBS Optional Combat ... that was causing the slow mo backward running and disable it. That removed the slow mo. Also, disable the running backwards part of Combat Archery in the ini. But something's still causing reduced backward speed and while its not too much of a problem now, the attribute values (and athletics) do sometimes get caught in the negative state, i.e. they dont get restored to their proper values.

Please, help! Right now, i can fix the attributes with modav but i dont know if that can cause any problems and typing in the console every so often is immersion breaking to say the least!

yes, omobs is no longer the problem. but something else is causing the negative attributes that occasionally get stuck/not restored. its happening less now. ill try a new game and see if it persists. thanks for the responses!

I believe showler is referring to the "No MOBS run limit" patch at http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17621, not OMOBS Optional Combat, which, as you say, you have already disabled.
