Help finding the best mods for immersion.

When i say immersion, i mean the New vegas and fallout-esque feeling of the game.

So, let me explain. Due to an overwhelming offline experience the last week or two (I.E. crashes and freezes randomly every 20-40 minutes) i am done with trial and error. im gonna restrict my mmovements from now on, and would like some help.

First off, i need to know this, i made a thread on it once, however the thread is gone now for some reason. what does an ENB do, and why is it well liked?

What are some of the best, and stable, weather/enviromental hazard mods to go with?

Now, i know this one is a bit strange.

Spoiler
This one's for the advlts. Which is one of the most stable, and well liked, sixual advlt mods out there, cause i keep seeing stuff like humping the mojave and more advlt content mods.

and lastly, besides Project Brazil, and the mod i am working on and helping with, deathsong brotherhood, what are some good story mods (with storyline, not hunting) that i can try?

ENB's require a very good PC and even more a great videocard to run well for the most part. ENB's are more there to enhance the lighting and quite often adds cinematic effects. I personally feel they are not needed.

The last time I used a lighting/weather mod was quite some ago since I am quite fine with the way the game handles it. At first I thought it was needed but then I re-calibrated the monitor on my laptop and have it set to the correct settings and the games lighting just looks great at the moment.

None of us can say if a mod will be stable on your system. For some the base game can be unstable while for others they can have 70+ mods and the game is real stable with only a crash here or there.

The only thing you can do to maximize the chances for a stable game is to follow best practices when installing the game and proper use of tools to install mods, sort load order and to clean nods if they have dirty edits. Also reading up all the documentation on a mod and also see if the mod has any known issues with other mods and getting any compatibility patches. Also the mods your are using likely the greater chances for the game to crash or have glitches.

Someguy has a few mods out there that are story based but some of them deals with Bounty Hunting.

my system's pretty good. It's an Intel core i7 series, windows 7, with 850GB of storage space, and around 8GB of it's own video ram. it's Asus, so it's a good system. and i grabbed a decent card, an AMD radeon R7 260x with 2GB of it's own memory, dual fan. I'm able to play all my games so far on max settings, even Infinite crisis, smite, Tera Rising, and, as i heard it, a big hit or miss on optimal, blacklight retribution. Just fine, no lag. i figure i may have gotten glitched downloads, but idk which.. i was pretty careful.
