First of all.

1)Check the PC model
2) Check what motherboard do you have
3)Check you're psu for model and power output

We will take it from there.

it says its a 300w unit,not a 800w

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02490988&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&key=null&product=4228403

if you get a new psu,you will be able to run a 460,try get it external exhaust.

a 650w+ psu from a trusted brand with at least 2x 6-pin pci-e connectors is enough.

corsair psu are the best,xfx,ocz,NOX... all those are fine.

The processor is good enough, i have an gaming laptop I5 430m with an GTS 360M and 4 gb memory. And Crysis 1 runs perfect on everything on high and AAx4.

Yes, your processor is good enough. Maybe upgrade your VGA! Crysis 2 runs better then Crysis 1!

Atleast with your processor and and new VGA, it would run on high. Next week im going to try how the demo's work on my laptop.

And Arma 2 or Operation Arrowhead are heavy games, not many pc's run it without lag!

Thermaltake LitePower 700W is a very good bang for the buck PSU.

i dont know if your case is a atx or m-atx.

tell me,how many expansion slots has your case (the slots were you install your graphics card)

if it has 7 is atx if it has 4 is m-atx

your case should be atx in order to fit this psu, even if it is atx,it may have a m-atx psu bay

Power supply: get an OCZ stealthxstreme 2 600W. I'm extremely picky about PSU's and it's the best in the price range by a long shot. Not really all that trusting of the thermaltake psu due to various reasons i'll not burden you all with because it'll all be technical waffle.

GPU: You may as well spend the extra £10 on a gtx460 1GB now :)

You can get both from CCL computers for about £170 overall.

The cheapest one (MSI cyclone), since they're all pretty much the same except for warranty and sometimes cooling :)

But in addition to being the cheapest, that MSI has better cooling and a decent warranty anyway,

I have had a Thermaltake Toughpower 775w for over six months now and I am very satisfied by it.. High efficiency and great stable energy, and it wasn't highly priced (only $110 or so when I bought it).

Power supplies can vary hugely per product though :) For example, the OCZ stealthxstreme 1 and modxstremes are complete arse :D
