Bear in mind that Lydia has to walk all the way back to Whiterun. She might not have gotten there yet. As for your wife, have you talked to her right after the wedding and determined where you'll live? If not, it could lead to some bugs... I know that if you adopt kids, your wife automatically moves to where the kids live, so if you have HF you might try this technique to fing your wife. Save before you do it.

You could also try going back to the Temple of Mara and see if she's there.
