Help me be a mage!

I didn't know this - thank you! My character finds herself overwhelmed by large groups of tough enemies - she fought five or so Skeleton Heroes today. She can deal with them with about three blasts of her custom destruction spell, but she doesn't have enough magicka to do so for more than one enemy. I'll have to put more into luck!

Just so you know that it only works on your custom spells. Only. And adding points to Luck every level is quite costly, basically making you be more squishy. Most of my mages will use one of their two attributes and give it to Luck as an emphasis.

Thanks for the tips! I tend to use mostly custom spells, save for my 'open lock' spell. It's going to be handy to know, thank you!

None of those really help you survive. its nice to have a decent amount of health if as a Mage you find yourself cornered or silenced. You could then at least survive long enough to get back on your feet.
What you're saying is true, but it's not really how a true mage is played in RPGs. You're describing more of a sorcerer or battlemage.

A true mage isn't going to ever have more than a +1 multiplier to Strength or Endurance. It's simply not possible, because you are not using those skills if you're playing a mage. You can put that +1 into the Attribute if you want, but I would never do that with a mage until Intelligence, Willpower, Agility, Speed, and Personality were pretty well maxed out, because those Attributes are all more important for a mage. And, as Big Daddy points out, Luck is a good place to put your extra multipliers, too.

And, I don't know what system you're on, but try to get a hold of your handcuffs (can't remember ingame name). Or, if you have Vile Lair, just get the ones from there. This is for a true mage, as they give you one extra enchanting slot, without giving you an ar and reducing your spell effectiveness.

Not sure if you're interested, but I favor mages and I know a lot about them. If you're interested, please check out my YouTube channel (signature) and you can feel free to get some firsthand experience from me. :) Take care now.
